QUOTE(Reventon @ Dec 8 2008, 05:43 PM) for prompt card application , most bank accept at minimum 15k CL to qualify for their plat card except few like HSBC 30k , MBB 25k , CITI 20k.. currently the highest CL requirement is HSBC card AFAIK. very normal to get plat card nowadays. Wow ! Then it should be very easy for those HSBC Premier Mastercard holder to apply for other bank's platinum credit card after a year since all HSBC Premier Mastercard comes with a minimum CL of 40k.QUOTE(sentro2020 @ Dec 8 2008, 07:34 PM) Salary aside. QUOTE(vin_ann @ Dec 9 2008, 12:04 AM) For my first card, no even though it's sort of MBB Visa Classic but the banker insisted that it's a Visa Flex. The remaining two is free for life kind of cards. Shouldn't have joining fee. |

I just got my MBB Visa Classic. What different between MBB Visa Classic & Visa Wave ?
I tried to do some comparasion in Maybank2u but doesn't spot any differences Oh ya, Im wondering if you guys normally settle full outstanding each month ? I'd only pay around 50% of my outstanding only . Bad record I guess ? |

Nothing is fancy.I tried to do some comparasion in Maybank2u but doesn't spot any differences Oh ya, Im wondering if you guys normally settle full outstanding each month ? QUOTE(kennyng @ Dec 8 2008, 10:50 PM) No banks charge joining fee nowadays. I applied Maybank recently and got the card, no fees whatsoever. And for the lowest entry to get Plat card, apply OCBC Robinson. CL is as low as 5k! |

I noticed that many stores (e.g. Best Denki, Harvey Norman) do not accept CIMB cards for flexi-payment.
Anyone knows the reason of this? Or is it just a coincidence? |

QUOTE(cannavaro @ Dec 9 2008, 11:29 AM) I noticed that many stores (e.g. Best Denki, Harvey Norman) do not accept CIMB cards for flexi-payment. CIMB is sucks and yes many stores do not accept CIMB for flexi payment but some of them are CIMB merchants. CIMB only allows you to either ask the merchants to do manually which most merchant do not want to do it. Secondly, they will ask u to swipe full amount first (not installment) then make a call to CIMB to apply for flexi payment 10-20 months. Beware, if you do not prepare to pay one time interest of 3-5% which they will charge you for the flexi plan. Stupid right ? then why is it call 0% installment?Anyone knows the reason of this? Or is it just a coincidence? |
