Once activated, it's ready to use. No PIN required like in Europe.

PIN is only needed for ATM transaction like cash advance and registration to CIMBClicks.

Should be no problem, it's just an additional card.

Should not be a problem for you to apply for another platinum card.

In the case of character card ... yes, you are right. SCB won't allow you to hold 2 VISA or 2 Mastercards. Hiya .... it's a very obvious answer to a simple question.

When I apply for credit card, I don't submit EPF statement or BE/J form.

thanks, i was wondering about that too as someone from the bank called me up a long time a go and asked me to submit only my ic and payslip (i declined then as i didnt believe in using credit cards then). but when i decided to apply and went to the damansara bank, the officer asked for my statement (which i had) and BE form (wich i dont have), sigh...so i do hope the blank bits in the form i filled would not become an issue.

For your case it's will be min of RM 10 to a max of RM 100. Take 1% of your outstanding and do the maths.

for prompt card application , most bank accept at minimum 15k CL to qualify for their plat card except few like HSBC 30k , MBB 25k , CITI 20k.. currently the highest CL requirement is HSBC card AFAIK. very normal to get plat card nowadays.

you need to earn at least 100k p.a for platinum card (apply for most of the card). CIMB DA is offering platinum card with min req 84k p.a.

btw, I am confuse with late payment charge. It stated "... enjoy interest free period 20 days from the statement date for all your retail purchases. If the preceding month outstanding balance has been fully settled."

Is it mean, I just pay for the amount I used if I settle within 20 days of the date in statement bill?

means u must pay all outstanding balance for the current month in order to get the 20 days free interest for next month. if u only pay partial or min, u will be charge the interest of the next month + ourstanding balance.

Yes. That is also known as "Interest Free Period" on retail purchase for PBB card members (excluding Cash Advance, Balance Transfer and other credit plans).
