crash frenzy my friend... if it's not because i need to use the PC and have no spare card i early early send for warranty
initially i thought it was because the 64bit vista.... then i change to 32 bit... same problem.... what a bummer.... XP i didn't try and NO i wont change back to XP. been on vista for a year already... XP is already a stranger to me..

i don't really think vista is the problem as i think vista is better with your 4870.

but if you said problem with ALL the games. that's a bit troubling. if you use the pc normally like surfing net and stuff does it crash?

normal usage no problem..... once u stress the card and there it goes... heck i even have problem playing NFS carbon... it's choppy and crash once a while... old game oso liddat ady... new games more worst.. most stable game would be GRID.. and war3.... of coz...=.=
stable as in crash LEAST not CRASHLESS...

hahah which part of SP are u in. haha i am in Taman Mewah... the little taman beside Taman intan hahah.
anyway to me.. the dust filters lower the air flow significantly..
HAF no dust filter but usually dust till stick to the honeycomb so sometimes i just turn it off and wipe them off.. even with dust filter u will eventually have to open of ur case and clean ur PC anyway.. so what the heck. =P
air flow more important =D

yeah for me without the dust filter, it'll be much much more troublesome to clean the pc..

got the cm690 also cause it is lighter and smaller so i can carry it easier..

btw, what psu u use for your 4870gs?

Btw, im getting a new case to deal with the high temps from my hd4870gs, any good cases and cheap ones to recommend?

Budget?

If around RM250 CM690 is a good deal, if got more budget, then can try HAF932.

if you get haf932 also can..about ~rm450 but if you want to add extra fans need more $$. it's bigger and has more room inside but a lot more heavier. Haf932 is the cheapest Fullltower from Coolermaster.

if you get cm690, get the one that comes with 4 fans with side panel and then you can use the extra money to buy 3x140mm led fans. total with the extra fans just a bit cheaper than haf932. plus got dust filters. still heavy i think, but much less than haf.

man my 4850 is has low temps, from my opinion. if normal usage/idle NO aircond can get 33-35 celcius. 50% fan speed.

if im not mistaken load at 43 something...max. again no aricond.

I also get around 32-35C for my 4850GS but I kinda doubt the temp reading is accurate. I think the actual temp is higher than the reading because 32-35 is way to low. Well, just my opinion though.
