hey guys.. please help me.. which card is better..?

Gainward HD4850 GS 512MB,
Gainward HD4850 GS 1GB,
Gainward 9800GTX+.

i'm getting one from these 3 cards next week..

4850GS 1GB

Depends on your monitor resolution. 9800 GTX+ still good imo, but getting old.

depending on the price, if from all those 3, the 9800gtx+ is slight faster than 4850GS.

Yeah, indeed a good choice when running a 1GB on bigger screen like 1680x1050.
Trust me, I can feel some games being laggy with my 4870 512MB at 1920x1080. doh.gif

go 4850GS 1gb if u running 1680x1050 reso
in most cases outperform 9800GTX+ except for those games that are nvidia bias punya... lower reso than 1680x1050 should go for 512mb coz u wont see the difference

More memory means higher resolution capability. Also look at the clocks too, Higher clocking means faster graphic processing.

Hi all. My 4850GS temperature is as below:

GPU Diode (Shader): 48C
GPU Diode (Mem IO): 50C
GPU Diode (Disp IO): 46C

All above are when idle. I'm using EXPERTool and Fan Speed is 50% Dynamic. On load my temperature will be more than 65C when i quit the game. Is that normal?. Also how can i know the highest temperature or average temperature during gaming?

Many thanks

Anyone overclocked the 4850GS yet? I was wondering if overclocking voids warranty? I have not overclock my card yet.

if u go back to version 1 thread..u will see a lot of HD4850GS user OC their card..the easiest way to OC is by using ATI OverDrive..
