yeah go for ubuntu(but i'm not using it)
it got wide community support,
or you also can try Linux Mint

I'm interested as well but sadly my rig in my sig won't really let me enjoy this to the fullest.It's still gonna be on my dl list though.You guys with better specs should give this a go if you want.

its forked out of ubuntu, with all ur multimedia needs works out of the box.. no need to install this and that just to play mp3, watch movie or watch utube with firefox. everything just works

u should download x64 version to get most of ur 4gb ram.. i think with x32, ur ram will just be detected as 3.5gb
