just tried fedora 13 yesterday... its yum package management is slooowwww.. slow as slowpoke i can say
update just stuck at 20kB/s while on ubuntu/linuxmint or any debian based distro i can get 45kB/s..
and yes i know fedora can use apt-get combined with synaptic package manager, and i've done that already, but the problem comes from its sloooww repo server.lol.
so today i'm back with linuxmint 9 lxde

yup if i install that fastest mirror plugin i can get 20kB/s.. on default install only get 15kB/s.. on ubuntu/linuxmint or any debian derivatives i've already got 45kB/s without any plugin whatsoever. lol.
also yum intends to hang on my fedora. got error about some process still using it

its forked out of ubuntu, with all ur multimedia needs works out of the box.. no need to install this and that just to play mp3, watch movie or watch utube with firefox. everything just works

u should download x64 version to get most of ur 4gb ram.. i think with x32, ur ram will just be detected as 3.5gb

try slitaz, super lighweight at only 30mb, and got fully functional gui too.
really suitable for web browsing.

just formatted my laptop. now dualbooting windows 7 and pclinuxos.
some software can only be found in windows, cant find linux alternative. sigh.

usually, app to flash android phones to stock rom.
only sony got flashtool that would work in linux and opensource too, other phones need their proprietary apps from the manufacturer
i usually help friend restore or reformat their android phones. cant do it in linux.
