i'm lazy. i dont want install & update & upgrade. i just want 'ready to used distro with many app preinstall'. the bigger iso size the better.

So here we go.
debian stable - oshirix
debian testing - epidemic
mandriva - mib live dvd
fedora - comunity fedora remix

backtrack 4 final is good to use but still need to install other application to use it..the simple n easier to use is ubuntu but it make you did not feel the life of pure unix in linux user....slackware it the best for me

hi,

if i want to boot ubuntu from usb, what is the min capacity of thumbdrive i need?

what i see is the iso files is about 700mb rite? when i tried to use the Universal USB Installer, it looks like i need 4.7gb or so....

minimum cap is 1GB, but 2GB or more is advisable (unless you'd never want to add new apps along the way)

MInt is the bests for my laptop...

i only tested 2 distro btw, haha, mint vs ubuntu..

and i prefer gnome over kde, since kde use quite lot of resources (maybe?)

so what ? i post on apr 8, oshirix sqeeze come out on apr 12.

I feel debian sqeeze or oshirix become bloatware. Double file size but have same app like oshirix 2009 SPE (700mb)

Now im happy with Pardus. CD install 680mb come with KDE 4.4.4, OOo, GIMP, java, smplayer, K3B, etc etc.

hi all.... just made it booting OpenSUSE using usb drive.. yeay..

tried a few usb installer, but the only works for me is Mandriva Seed.

now, i can use SUSE anywhere... nice!!!

good. Now start your new openSUSE 11.3 RC2.
Then run mandriva seed or unetbootin.
