I won't judge like this. I will judge the brand by my personal budget.
And the term "best" or "worst" is subjective.
For me, $/performance ratio is more important and have to see all inter-related equipments.
For my case, worst brands will be Mcintosh, Tru Billets, Brax, Sinfoni, Genesis due to $/performance is out.
Best brand will be JL Audio, Pioneer Premier, RF Power OS series(smuggle from US direct and I'm using JL Audio) because the $/performance is ok.

Another factor that I will label it as worst brand is fakes that flying around. Fakes can fly around is because they want to increase profit margin and let third party to manufacture them. Brands like Focal and DLS falls under this. They are ware of fakes but never take a better measure to prevent this. Instead, they fry up the price more by urging people to buy from authorized dealers(which they sell fakes also sometimes). The only way to prevent fakes is they manufacture them directly by not letting third party to do the job.

well most of the brands you dislike... manufacture themself le...

anyway... let the list be a collective of reputable brands that is realiable and recommended...

sound wise to everyone is subjective... price wise is a out of topic subject as well... because when you really search for the good sound... money is secondary... the least you have to do is just play around with your budget... i dun recommend high end setup if one doesnt have the knowledge...

ICErs generally look for the equipment that gives the best sound up to their budget. If you go for price/performance you should just stick with stock. Cause stock is already paid, therefore its theoretically rm0, so price/performance will be through the roof.

Serious/audiophile ICE is like F1 racing. Get the best performing equipment with your budget at hand. Then tune and tune again to maximise the equipment that you have.

^I won't say a brand is cap ayam directly.... Each grade of the amps listed got their market segments and that's personal taste when judging how good they are.

hi end and low end, basically are classified by their recommended retail price. it's not up to the manufacturer to say hi end speakers. when comparing items in ICE, we compare those in the same pricing category, then we figure which is the best bang for bucks within that particular category. and every man has their own taste, not everyone likes brax or sinfoni. i'm not saying dat all hi ends sounds gud nor all ayam sounds bad, but dats how it's classified according to price and fame worldwide these days. Marketing RULEZ... like the old saying, cheap things dun come gud, gud things dun come cheap.

in car audio you get what you pay for la bro....

thats why i always advise, if your budget is tight, better buy 2nd hand branded ones instead of cap ayam new ones.....

craziechild.....i think the denon one a bit of oversight on our part because its not sold in malaysia.......
