QUOTE(RacingTech @ May 7 2009, 01:29 PM) Last time i did accidentally push it to 500FSB but didnt prime it and it did go in windows... after that i down it to ori 400mhz cause not intend to oc my ram. I havent rma the ram but i did call up the shop where i bought it and they say might need to wait for 3 to 6 months or 1 year!!!!! walau!!!! how can it be like that!!!! haha.. that's too bad... while you wait for your ram you can get other cheaper ram... I didn't know the lousy Kingston can go up to 500fsb... interesting but to wait for that long for rma is not that good to risk it.. unless I have some extra money.. |

May i know the reason your use 450fsb for higher fsb? is it better bandwidth? what about the voltage setting in your bios? i think i put 1.375 in bios but appear at cpuz only 1.312....... is this normal?using CM V8. |

i think thts normal,im using 1.365v in bios but cpu-z shows max only 1.328v sumtimes lower

Yeah noticed board BIOS and CPU-Z timings have a pretty big difference.

Does anyone know what's the max 24/7 safe VTT for 45nm CPUs? Can't seem to find it, unlike vcore 1.3625V and cpu termination ~1.38-1.4V.
Also, given an ambient temperature of 34C, should I get a better cooler or get an a/c set up? Current cooler is a CM Hyper212, idle/load at 48/60 assuming tjmax=95 at 400 FSB. This post has been edited by yimingwuzere: May 10 2009, 07:13 PM |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ May 11 2009, 12:02 AM) my e8400 520 x 8 @ 1.356v also almost same temp with u.but the thg with mine is tht it require more than 1.4v on the mch otherwise it wont boot up perhaps i wouldnt noe until i pass 500fsb? will spend more time on it...but ur vcore, 1.356v, is it on cpuz or windows? ur ram performance level? standard or turbo? if ur ram kenot tahan set to standard lo..lol... the problem i hav now is time..hopefully 2molo can clock more...drop multiplier... |

Can't seem to find it, unlike vcore 1.3625V and cpu termination ~1.38-1.4V. u should keep the vtt below 1.35v for 24/7 usage. it been said that more than that will kill the 45nm processor. Also, given an ambient temperature of 34C, should I get a better cooler or get an a/c set up? Current cooler is a CM Hyper212, idle/load at 48/60 assuming tjmax=95 at 400 FSB. and the tjmax for 45nm was 100. |

QUOTE(RacingTech @ May 11 2009, 12:13 PM) the best bout qx6800 is, it's 65nm proc hence can put higher vcore than 45nm. but as always, heat is the prob. |
