EP45-UD3L n EP45-UD3R is different in design. see review in giga website. i'm pretty sure u'll go for UD3R after u compare those two .

QUOTE(ham_revilo @ Feb 28 2009, 01:17 AM) try tweaking these voltages: thx. just do 450x8 on 1.331Vcore. CPU Termination = 1.25 - 1.35 CPU Reference = 0.64 - 0.67% Of Termination voltage (this is just my settings. might not be accurate ) MCH Core = 1.2 - 1.3 for CPU Reference, there are different theories on tweaking them. from my testing, i use around 0.64 to 0.67% of Vtt. i might be wrong so if u want better answer, try googling more you might wanna increase clock and mch skew too. that could help a lil if u know how to tweak it QUOTE(hengmy @ Feb 28 2009, 01:46 AM) any explanation why u suggest me to keep it under 400?. higher fsb is better i heard. |

QUOTE(hengmy @ Mar 1 2009, 07:53 PM) yea, theoretically higher fsb giving u more bandwidth, but for a quadcore, to achieve high and stable fsb, it is more harder than dualcore. understand lor. but i'm quite happy with my setting now although lower ram speed. cant change to PL7@6. wont boot. so i leave it auto. any suggestion?beside of fsb, performance lvl is also important, for a quadcore, to acheive high fsb with low PL is very hard. when u use high fsb (more than 400) required more vnb and vtt, and u will end up use divider 1:1 which give u PL9 or 10 at high fsb. if u use fsb 333, u will able to use divider 4:5 which will give u PL6, this required stock vnb and vtt. imo, the best combination is u can use fsb 400 with divider 4:5, but in this case u will need a ram that capable to do ddr1000 stable, this will give u the best performance of overall. btw, i am not sure u understand what i am talking about or not oso. tell me which is better in term of performance in gaming? i dont have prob in gaming right now, just loading is quite slow. 400x9@10-higher ram speed 450x8@500x8-lower ram speed |

QUOTE(zerohunter @ Mar 4 2009, 12:20 AM) hello guys. new ep45-ud3p user reporting. just got tis board 2 days ago and been clocking all day long. i'm new in oc'ing and tis is my result. i think the temp is very high. hope to get some comments and advices from all the sifu here. my vcore in bios is 1.3 and dram voltage at 2.0, spd is 2.0, ram timing is 5-5-5-15. i'm using 2x1gb kingston hyper x 1066 ddr2 and cooler master n620 hsf. i guess i got the wrong hsf. what do u mean by temp is very high?. my core temp while running OCCT is 83C. that's what we called very high. |

QUOTE(zerohunter @ Mar 4 2009, 12:39 AM) uzer85, thx for fast reply. actually wat i saw from many forums r ppl would recommend temp below 65 is safe temp and i also saw tat other ppl can do better fsb wif lower temp. the temp u see in my attachment is the idle temp. when full load it will reach 66 to 68. i hope to get some advices to lower my temp. thx 68C for E8400 is quite high. mine is exception coz it's monster heat.although my temp is 83C, i just use my rig for playing games n usually games wont make cpu usage go 100% hence my core temp wont go that high. |
