thanks smliu, one more thing, when u guys shifted the gear example fr N to D does the alphabet illuminates?mine only N illuminates, the rest did not.
*

Good morning Jibsi. All the P,R,N & D will show at each level. When u r in auto D, level 1,2,3,4 will not show but they will show when u r in menual D. This is according to my car. I wish the level 1,2,3,4, will show when in auto mode so that we know what gear level at that situation.
Since this is not a big issue which does not interrupt yr driving, drive the car for some period times, and record the faulty issues. Then settle at SC once for all; it save up the time.
Regards.

if you re using tiptronic.....it will show which gear that you use....lowest is 1st gear .....and when you want to shift back to D ( for normal auto gear ) please ensure you reduce speed , if not your car will go to N .... and its dangerous ....happened to me once.....so be carefull......using tiptronic is fun just like driven a manual car except you left foot stay relax.....

So who can update us on the parts price here ????

1) Spark plug
2) Absorber front and rear
3) Absorber spring front and rear
4) Windscreen front and rear
5) Wipers

Hi guys, just sharing my lucky experience happened this morning. Some cars petrol indicator pointing below the red mark and the car still have petrol to drive around but not for Eastar. My petrol indicator was pointing slightly above the lower red mark but it was out of petrol this morning. I was on my way to pump petrol when the indicator was pointing just above the lower red bar(not even pointing the lower red bar completely), at the petrol station, the engine suddenly died off and not able to start again even I tried for many times. Since at the petrol station, I filled up the petrol and start the car again and it back to normal. It was lucky bcos my car was just "totally empty" when at the petrol station.
So guys, start heading to petrol station when the petrol indicator pointing at the lower red portion. Eastar petrol indicator is very accurate; empty means empty; never try to drive further. No one wants to stop by the road side, right!?
According to owner's guide book, when the petrol indicator lights up, there is less than 10L petrol left. If town driving, 25 cents/km is calculated, the milage can cover is about 70km. It should be more if driving on highway at speed 110km/h; about 90km left(based on 20cents/km). The calculation is for reference only; figures may vary from individual driving habbit.
Happy driving!

Drom, sama macam i. I dpt isi 68 liter, so i buat assumption bila kita isi petrol ia bercampur ngan udara, so jumlah petrol kalau 1 liter tu tak sampai 1 liter sebenarnya... Wallahu a'lam.

Nak tanya, sesapa yg biasa guna gear steptronic, adakah FC lebih jimat dari guna Auto? Ada sesapa yg boleh bagi testimoni?

how can petrol mix with air when the petrol is sucked by the pump near the base of the tank underground?

there is no leak obviously otherwise u can see it on the floor as the volume is measured only the pump not underground protion

if air enter from the fuel tank cap it'll still escape as its lighter than petrol.

doesnt make sense to me.

( not advisable ) .....

logiknya .....gear automatic lebih jimat compare to pengunaan tipronic cuma beza pengunaannya ...dimana .....dan cara kita guna adalah begitu subjektif.

Just for information. When my car is totally empty and not able to start, the amount of petrol I pumped in was RM134(74.44litres); very full. I think this is the maximum it can pump in.
Add on to Drom's info & experience, I think the car can cover at least 70km when the petrol alarm starts to light up. It's time to fill up the petrol again b4 stoppping by the road side.

Guys..

For those who didn't know that we actually could set our MPV odometer back to zero...odometer on upper right portion of our MPV speedometer , below are the steps.

There is a "stick" below speedometer that show 220. When you push this stick once..it will show either time or mileage. In order to get it show zero ( 0.0 ), make sure it show mileage, else, if it show time, push once to get it show mileage. Once it show mileage, , keep push this stick for 5 seconds or less until it change to zero.. ( 0.0 ) . Now you don't need to count manually to get mileage fo 1 full tank of petrol.

In time mode..you can change the time by pressing the stick until hours portion blinking..then only you push the stick again to get the hour that you need. After set the hour..let it blinking until it change blinking to minutes portion..then only you push this stick again to get minutes that you want. next ..let it stop blinking it self.. and it is done..

I'm proud driving this MPV biggrin.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Added on March 6, 2009, 3:14 amGuys ... it's me again..

Now ...em having a problem with my aircon that flows to front passenger site. As my understanding, aircon should equal cold and same strength of air flows for both driver and front passenger right. Am i right ?

But not for my MPV.. my aircon on front passenger portion are less than driver portion on both cold and air flows. And it is always happen that on passenger portion, my wife not even feel the aircon, but only an air flow..She keep complaining on that. I tought she's kidding but it is for real, seems like there is an auto on/off aircon to her site. Anyone has encounter same problem like me ??

Guys ...any idea ?? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Good morning everyone!
Only adv/expansive aircon system will have left/right independent aircon control but I don't think we have it in Eastar at this price level. I checked through my car, both side are equally cold and equal air flow. And I checked thru the owner's guide, there is no mention on left/right control also. No old found.
Eastar aircon is very cold and chilling. If your wife don't feel the aircon on the left side, there must be some faulty somewhere. Check with SC is necessary.
I am trying to understand page 112 center lower portion on owner's guide: Precaution on the regulation of vent.......don't really know what does it mean. hmm.gif

azazza71, first you can check whether the airflow opening inside the aircon window are normal, I had this problem when they did not assemble it back properly after opening it. Actually, it is easy to dismantle, no screws, just dismantle it outward toward you and check for ur self.
For your info, I'd this cracking sound seems to be from the dashboard, after dismantling the whole dashboard (very sakit looking at it), including the mud guard, unfortunately still could not rectify where is the source of the cracking sound. Anyway, they'd advise me to leave my car with them for 1-2 days to check, maybe later....
