Hi Jimmy, if I can remember correctly, RPM stay below 2000rpm at 110km/h. At such speed, fuel consumtion is around 17~18cents at current petrol price for distance driving. I am very happy with the performance for this MPV.
I will take a close look at the RPM when I drive to KL mid March.

Color is a very subjective topic. Important thing is the owner like it. Very nice two tone color! thumbup.gif
Me too! I am ordering the spare remote key from HQ and they are trying to duplicate one set for me. Have to send the car to SC to program the key code. When we think back, we don't really use the spare key at all(for me); just need to spare incase.
Alternatively, we can duplicate the remote control at the outside store and attached it to the spare key. If this way is possible, save all the trouble and save money too. This idea only came out after I have made my order; I did not try b4, ya!

Added on March 1, 2009, 1:15 pmFor your information, I've checked experts. Small hardware store not able to duplicate this remote comtrol. Whereas, some key smith chain stores can do that; maybe they have the better equipment/facilities.
Anyone has this area of information, can share your experience.

Just to share, I got the spare remote control key exactly the same with the original key without having to pay extra cost.

U beli eastar kat dealer mana? And mcm mana u dpt? Salesman i ckp kalau nak buat dlm RM200. Tak perlu la... kalau hilang kunci remote(nauzubillah) still boleh buka keta pakai spare key, kalau alarm menjerit then u start the engine, berentilah jeritannya (tu kata my salesman, i tak pernah cuba lg).

Just to share. So, memang berbaloi beli eastar bagi sesiapa yg suka berjalan jauh... I juga try brp km dapat jln bila lampu amaran petrol dah menyala, berdasarkan testimoni Mr Enigma yg dapat 50 km, i tawakkal dari Gurun ke Alor Setar, alhamdulillah selamat (takut gak, coz kami memang pernah ada pengalaman mati keta sebab habis minyak) rasanya dapat lebih dari 50 km, tp memang i jaga kaki tak lebih dari 100 km/j. Kalau ikut i nak cuba sampai E tp my hubby bising, sayang enjin katanya... rolleyes.gif

Then, masa berenti kat Pasar Malam, one chinese guy datang kat my hubby tanya keta apa ni? (i dah letak nama V5 crossover dan buang perkataan eastar dan 2.4), mcm biasa hubby jawab, keta china... The guy dan ayah dia i think siap try buka tutup pintu keta lagi, jenguk-jenguk kot tingkap, tanya kami lari stabil ke tak... i kata kat dia try pi showroom and test drive... thumbup.gif

I ambil kat PJ HQ. I thought semua orang dapat 2 set of remote key.

Hello Guys,

Mine as well. I also has an extra spare key same as original one. I get my MPV from PJ HQ. From what em remember, when i ask my sales girl, she and her manager said that my road tax is only 530. ( i'm having my car on 28 Nov 2008 ) There is no such thing that i'm paying extra money for the spare key. AA44, you should argue and clarify, whats happen to your extra road tax money, if you pay rm730 for the road tax. Get your money back. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Salam Drom,

Good morning all.
About the remote key issue. I did made inquiry from Chery HQ when I got my car. According to them, there is a cut off date for 2 keys and 1 key associate with the car in end 2008. During the cut off production, some got 2 remote keys and some got 1 remote key. For 2009 model production, definitely will get one remote key and one spare key. For those 2009 model onwards, no choice. I hope this issue would not be confusing to car owners.

I agree with Drom, owners should check the aircon situation because the location is not noticeable. Thanks Drom for such info.

Thanks smliu kerana telah penjelasan u telah melegakan i. Cuma satu lah, pasal roadtax tu, ada yg RM550, ada yg RM730. I ada tanya kat delaer kata diorang yg CBU from China roadtaxnya RM550, dan yg CKD di Malaysia RM730. Betul ke mcm tu? Dan nak tahu gak, adakah yg roadtaxnya RM550 tu utk thn pertama je... atau sampai bila-bila. Kalau sampai bila-bila memang tak fair la... Member siap kata kami kena tipu coz katanya semua harga roadtax sudah turun... kami diam je la, malas nak layan. Any information? hmm.gif

No worry Busyra, road tax memang show RM730 tetapi u dapat rebate bila u bayar total kos kereta. Semua ni jelas dalam kos detail. For further detail, check back with Mr Lee sama ada rebate itu sudah di tolak. Road tax bukan turn, cuma utk buat sementara sampai March ini(semua kerata dpt rebate kan?). Lepas tu, ada turun tak, depend on JPJ decision on April; tak tahu lagi.

I had a new problem with my MPV. During this raining season, i just notice that there is a water leaking into bonet area. It is between back door and end of MPV roof.

Last 2 week, masa i pergi service kat SC PJ, ada one chery owner faced the same problem. After several checking, they found out that air masuk melalui cermin back door. So kena buka balik cermin back door and kena seal again dengan gam. Tapi SC PJ tak buat sendiri, engage workshop luar untuk buatkan.
