Yes, it is upstair. The left room. I have shifted my peasant setup in Jan 2008.

If things go ultra smooth and as planned hor, then I shall have a new detached HT room nia. No more major acoustic headache.

For the time being, I must say that it is quite good considering it is not high-end setup. A little more acoustic treatment and fine-tuning are needed for now.

Seems like you have similar issue as s6xs9x. Your seating area might be a null area. Try to relocate the sub.

Btw, estimated price for PB/PC12-NSD is RM3,300. PC12-Plus is about RM4,800- RM5,000 and PC13-Ultra at abt RM7K. SB-12Plus (Black) is about RM3,600. AS-EQ1 is abt RM3,400.

Wow that's a really good price. I bought my B-Stock PC12-Plus for €1035 over here in Germany because I didnt think I can get SVS in Malaysia. Maybe I should just return my PC12+ because it's still within the 45 days money back guarantee and just get the PC13-Ultra when I'm back in Malaysia. hmm.gif

The price quoted is only estimation as I do not know the exact forwarding and transportation cost. Probably additional few hundreds RM.

Anyhow, I have called the said companies. They promised to fax the quotation to me by next week.

Here is my second impression of the SVS PC12-Plus after 2 weeks....

Before I go into the performance to the SVS PC12-Plus, I would like let you all know that I am not a pro or anything like that so my write up is solely base on my experience with the SVS PC12-Plus.

I bought the SVS PC12-Plus without auditioning it because there is no way to audition it in Miri and it is normally not recommended to buy speakers without listening to it first. But I took the risk and order it because there are so many good reviews on the internet. If you do some research on the internet about subwoofers, there is one name that keeps coming up and its SVS. You just keep seeing people saying how much they love the SVS after they bought it. There is hardly a negative reviews you can find. As you read more and more reviews you really cannot resist the poison of the SVS sub. That is why i jump in blindly without knowing what I might get and what I get is more than what I expected.

The SVS PC12-Plus is indeed a monster when is comes to bass and low frequencies. I am not going to write anything technical because I really don't know what it means. But what I can tell you is that this beast will give you earthshaking bass effortlessly.

I play the scene from Transformer where the robot fire the canons and flew over the screaming woman and OMG...the whole place is rumbling in a nice way. I say "in a nice way" because SVS make it sound so good and so effortlessly. You can feel the rumble moving pass you like the robot actually fly past you.

Another scene is from POTC where the 2 boats were swirling around each other with there is a wave crushing on the front of one of the boats and the effect you got is like a real wave smashing past you. You really can feel the wind blow past you.

Playing the scene from Master and Commanders and those canons are so loud and solid your jaws will drop.

As I play more and more movies, I soon realise how much i have been missing in the past when I was using the B&W and Velodyne sub. I thought i have fantastic bass in the past but they really are no comparison with the SVS. There are just so many low bass that I didn't knew existed.

The SVS PC12-Plus is not just loud but its real gem is in the quality of the bass. The best thing is that is not boomy like my previous sub. Pop in Eagles Farewell Tour in DTS sound and you will be impress how good this thing is with music. Awesome. One thing I realize is that it might make those lesser quality mp3 sounds like shit and bass shy but if you play music with quality bass, then the SVS really shines. One important is how good it sound with movies because its not boomy so you don't get those unwanted boominess even in movies.

So is SVS sub really that good? The answer is a resounding yes. For the price of the SVS sub there really is no equals!!!

Thanks for your review lightning69. When you change from movies to listening to music do you need to adjust the volume of the sub? Or for both you play them equally loud?
