Hi, just want to see how many SVS subs user here and which model.

I've owned a HSU before but it's nothing like SVS, but it's not fair to say HSU is not good, i owned the smallest model of HSU, not big quantity bass but clean and accurate, best for musics.

SVS have loads of bass, but if really want to criticise, then it's the a bit slow and clumsy bass, but that's best for movies.

I've claimed once from SVS, let them know the situation, they email you how to test it, you reply wheter it works, whoosh.....after max 2 weeks, the parts are at your doorstep, though you have to fix it yourself, but there's step by step guide included, very simple and easy to replace.  No further question asked, excellent customer service!!

I tot they don't export any cylinders nowadays, is it?

Mine is 20-39+, do share yours.

Oh...my brother have a 20-39, not much diffrent compare to 20-39+, just a bit more powerful & tight bass basically.

Hsu's makes great subs too.. I dare say SvS copied Dr Hsu's designs - remember, Hsu makes 'bins' too .. on which is better well.. I wont go into tat.. suffice to say both hv their followers..

BTW is speaker driver taxable?

speaker drivers r taxable.. but my previous purchase of scans mid drivers wasnt taxed.. subwoofer drivers r so big i think very hard to excape.. jasonlky bought the sub driver same as svs plus series but i am not sure which version (if i am not wrong again) from http://www.rythmikaudio.com .. maybe u guys can try that website for quotes for drivers only

The story so far,   

Mine has arrived at Miri Airport. Miri agent is now getting the paperwork ready.     
Hopefully tomorrow can collect. And .. oh they absorbed the KL-Miri charges.    Luckily, I didn't wait for their notification.

The 10NSD doesn't rattle my 'thing'

The boom boom kapoww of 10NSD does not vibrate the sofa and not heart pounding. 10R does that

Not fussy.  The shipping for so many items is many thousand RM so we have to find a cheaper solution.

Yup, sealed subs either don't go as low (in Hz) or even if they can go low the output down low is not as loud as ported sub.

Of course if you want a sealed sub that can go low and go loud be prepared to shell out $$$$ (e.g. JL Fathom).

Yup can be done with a sock. I wonder how much that will reduce the output of the sub?

How come PB cost RM50 more than PC12 NSD? I thought PB is cheaper?

Went and bought a SVS pen the other day! 

planning to order mine before this coming thursday, anyone else interested?
btw, just got quote from my friend for PC 13 ultra RM 6350 d2d.

Although it is troublesome to move the sub, if you want a more proper comparison then best to keep the equipment and room the same. The less variables the better
