I have done a brief report in the BD Players thread. It is very well built machine and it is a modded unit. Pops in Reg B and it plays automatically. PQ is slightly better too.

Granted tat it is region free, can play mkv, sacd & dvdaudio, much classier built, it's kinda hard to foot out that amt of $$$ for a slightly better pq only .... im resisting ahahahaha!!!! |

I foresee de prc wil cum dwn in time aftr all de first time adopters hv got their pc..S$1k is stil a bit high I guess but for a fully modded region free bdp wif gud quality components inside is still a draw for me.. unfortunately gettin one now when de ps3 is alive n kickin is jus too wasteful.. At least for now D |

am thinking of moving the PB12-Plus to the back corner of the room...
is there any setting i need to tweak? Some ppl reckon the "phase" setting comes into play depending on sub placement in relation to the rest of the speakers/listener.... |

Yes, the phase has to be reset. Try 180deg at phase, then slowly adjust from there until you are satisfy with it.

my untrained ear tells me that it sound fine in the corner... not much tonal difference from when it was in the front
on the other hand i just installed the auralex gramma under the sub! Wow! it makes the sub seem alot more transparent...as if i would not be able to tell the direction the bass comes from... seems to envelop more than before... |

Gramma isolates most of the vibration from a sub, making the bass cleaner and tighter.
I think we shall be creating a V2 for SVS |
