That's probably the most powerful laptop in terms of processing power you got there. Encoding would be a cinch with this machine.

hav anyone bought a Sager from Australia before? Can share your experience?

Finally got the GTX 280m in my laptop, here're some screenshots.

I've underclocked the core and shader as I'm using setFSB to overclock my CPU, thereby overclocking the core and shader. The underclock was done so that the clocks gained via the increased FSB balance out. I've looped each test except for the CPU ones 50 times, total hours taken to accomplish all the tests were 5 hours +. The maximum temp I got from the GPU-Z log was 81c, not too shabby for a high end card huh? The 3d mark 06 score is 10500, give or take 50 points. It may seem like there's not much gain from the 9800m GTS O/C (10200), however, in-game performance wise, this thing blew the 9800m GTS away. I'm done with ATItool's artifact scanning, ran it for 3 hours and no error encountered, with a stable temp of 77-78C. I guess this proves that the GTX 280m is stable in the NP8660, eh?

I'm getting quite frustrated with XoticPC. Although I'm not ordering Sager from them, instead it's a MSI laptop, it's been stuck in Phase 2 for almost 3 weeks already. The first time I emailed them, they told me it would be shipping in the early part of week 2. That didn't happen. Then I sent them a second email and they said production was complete and it would be shipping within 24-48 business hours. 48 business hours has gone by and still no shipping notification from them.

Anyone else experienced this when dealing with them? I can't really afford any delays anymore, will be leaving to Aussie soon.

Wookay this is bad, i'm planning to get the same MSI laptop from them too. Anyone can enlighten us about this problem?

I guess the only thing you could actually do now is send them an email regarding all this. Explain that you'll be leaving soon if you haven't. I've never experienced such a delay before but maybe you could subtly inform them that if the item is not shipped within 24 hours, you'd be canceling the order and asking for a refund due to the reason above.

It is never good for a company to say one thing and do another.

Seems like my emails bugging them worked haha. My order shipped finally, awaiting tracking number now.

Great news then. Let's see some benchmarks and all that when it arrives.

USPS option. Lol silly me, the tracking number is there but I didn't notice it. But it seems that it's not working at the moment? It says 'Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site'.

the courier company havent updated their online tracking number i guess..

Hmm, the tracking number on my package still doesn't seem to work. I googled about this and many people said that USPS tracking number is really unreliable. Was anyone here able to track their package through USPS when buying a Sager laptop? Now I'm really worried that I won't receive the package lol.

Wow, dats real worrying haha. Man, y US also so inefficient wan haha. Guess I'll be using the UPS option if I'm goin to order from xotic.

Lol UPS is infinitely better, but it costs alot more though at 313USD.

currently the newest M17x allows user to hav SLI GTX 280m, when will Sager hav this option XD?

that is worrying. but xoticpc is a responsible company, so I wouldn't have any doubts that your laptop is already on its way

I'm just worried that USPS will lose the package on its way here. Seems to happen alot when I googled about it. Hopefully there's a big difference in the service between Express and Priority mail.

And NP9850 looks really good!
