this is wat i customise in xoticpc for the sager np8662.

the total is USD1812....

Um may i know how much is the price included the shipping and our country tax??
Give me the price in USD and also Ringgit

my budget is oni RM6000 to RM7000, would it be enough???

Is the shipping send the sager lappie till the front of our house???
*
If you notice, you'll see that Xotic PC offers a cash discount of 3% off the total price, inclusive of shipping. The cheapest international shipping option they offer is 223 USD, so in total your laptop would cost you:

97% of (1812 USD + 223 USD), or 97% of 2035 USD. That would be 1973.95 USD.

Using current exchange rates, 1 USD is equivalent to 3.49 MYR. That would mean the total cost of your laptop would be 6878.50 MYR, inclusive of shipping.

And to answer your question, yes, the 223 USD shipping option does deliver to the front of your house. Also, under Malaysian taxation law laptops are not liable to be taxed, so you won't have to worry about tax charges.

Overall a bloody awesome choice of a laptop for that price - grab it, you'll be glad you did! tongue.gif

Hey guys just wanna ask, what time does XoticPC usually ship their laptop? What is the time difference between us and them? I ordered a laptop from them, not a Sager though, but MSI GT725. It's been 2 weeks already, and I'm expecting it to be shipping soon.

Seems like you are not only 'short' of it knowledge but in english as well. Can't u at least write a proper sentence? I'm a civil eng. but it doesn't limit my it knowledge nor my fluency in english lol.

Loreki,

U can email them(xoticpc) for more info regarding the status of your laptop.

For mine, i received 3 email updates which basically includes phase 1-acknowledgement of payment received, phase 2-building your laptop/burn in/test and etc, phase 3- laptop will be shipped in 24-48 hours and finally phase 4-laptop shipped. Following will be updates from USPS if u are using it as well.

Rest be assured that they(xoticpc) will reply every single mail u send to them as they did to mine.

I sent a couple of emails myself in between the 4 phases due to anxiety(1st time dealing/importing an item from oversea through the net and somemore cost more than 10k tongue.gif ).

Just my 2 cent. thumbup.gif

Drop them an email and you'll get an exact answer on which phase your ordered laptop is currently undergoing.

Give the shipping a week or so, and you'll get your laptop in no time. Or a card saying that you have to collect it from the customs.

Is that so? I think that this delay may be caused by the arrival of new Intel processors. I do not know much about the building of MSI laptops, but Sager laptops will receive a newer revision of Intel processors.

The P8600 would be replaced with the P8700 and the P8700 with the P8800 , so on and so forth. However, it is still best to drop Justin an email regarding the delay in the building of your laptop, besides, I do not know if MSI laptops are affected by the release of newer Intel processors.

heya~~ wow seems many people are much interested in Sager/Clevo notebook yeah biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

i've been trying to find a seller from notebookreview forum, for the GTX 280M... i know some people~~ said that the upgrade isnt that much of a huge performance gap since, it is only version of MXM 2.1, but i still want it. It's so tempting and yet frustrated!!

i dont think malaysia have any reseller who sells notebook graphic card, right???

so anyone getting the D900F/Sager NP9280 with the new i7 desktop CPU lolz!!! huhuhuhu...

and one more thing, since there have been the new 500GB 7200RPM, is there any possibility that there will be any heat problem?? i wanted to buy it but worried that there will be heat problem even though im using a cooler notebook.

I'm expecting the arrival of my GTX 280m from R&J Tech next week. So if you'd really like to buy one, get it from RJ Tech. Doesn't come cheaply though.

I'd say the difference in performance between 2 mxm structure of the gtx 280m MAY be negligible, might be wrong though. I see that you have a 9800m GTX, so I think the performance increase isn't going to be big. However I am currently utilizing a 9800m GTS. 64 shaders vs 128 shaders, there got to be something right?

Yeap, adapter can be used in Malaysia. On the website they allow you to choose which adapter suits you. And 6.1k for everything in the box and getting it to your house  rclxms.gif
Warranty depends on the part. if your adapter kaputs, you'll just have to inform them and they'll send another out to you free of charge. If something goes wrong with the laptop itself u'll hv to send it back to them tho  sad.gif

Hi, I'm interested to get a laptop from xoticpc, but too bad its the MSI gt725 and not a Sager so please help me out abit here hehe. You said that they allow you to choose the power adapter which suits you but I could not find any option for that in the customization. May you help me point it out? Thanks.

In all honesty? I didn't get to customize the power plugs too. Therefore, when it arrived, it was a type B power plug, the ones used in USA. Had to buy one that's type G, because coupling an adapter with the type B seemed dangerous to some extent.

I think you could just inform them of your need for a type G power plug (typical in Malaysia and UK). I think they'll oblige to your demand just fine.

ah yes, i have also heard from other buyer about RJ tech, been pondering it for awhile though, because i have some eager seller to sell an GTX 280m lolz. though the huge price gap between RJ Tech and The reseller are kinda huge. so im still thinking about it. hmm.gif

anyway, an upgrade from the 9800m GTS to the GTX 280M will make a huge differences in the performance!! surely it will be much more stable and you can enjoy a much better gaming experience with it!! thumbup.gif

Yea, The only thing lacking in my system now is processing power. With all the refresh done by Intel, I was hoping the prices of processors would drop considerably... but I guess that won't be the case.
