QUOTE(corad @ Jan 10 2009, 11:42 PM) yea.. its for all sagersĀ I'm planning to buy Sager Np9262 but still holding it yet atm due to dollar against ringgit exchange damn high tell me which one you'll want to buy and i'll give you the link. note that the 10% is not instant. i'll return the amount to you after purchase is made. Like total estimate days from laying down the order till receive it. For bank transfer/wire = i get another 7% discount? For bank transfer/wire for shipping cost of us223 = i get another 3% discount from that amount? Total discount i can get roughly? Are we cool with discussing it here? If not do u have any personal msn where it's more convenient? Thanks a lot for the feedback and reply This post has been edited by kirakun: Jan 12 2009, 11:20 AM |

QUOTE(corad @ Jan 11 2009, 10:13 AM) I've been an affiliate with xoticpc longer than I've been with lowyat. Thanks again for the sumed up detail guys. It is really a good deal although the exchange rate can really be the pain in the @ss atm. Wish i plan it earlier when the ringgit was much stronger a month or 2 ago. Hopefully i can lay the purchase soon as i'll be leaving m'sia end of january 09. Will keep u guys updated once i lay down my purchase.Ashikune pretty much sumed everything up I'll just clarify abit more, Total discount you get is 13% including shipping fees. And it takes ~2weeks from the time payment is made till your laptop arrives. I don't mind chatting about it here yeap, my referral earning is 10% of what you TT to xoticpc. Thanks for the detailed explanation too EDIT: oh , and anyone can sign up to be an affliate with xoticpc and get the 10% back that way as well. just that xoticpc pays out via paypal and I've heard it can be tricky to redraw the fund locally. I'm still studying in the UK, so i'll be TT-ing the $$ back to the buyer. I do paypal as well if required. I wont be responsible for the bank charges tho Oh ya just to made it clear, i'm a going to use this laptop as my gaming laptop. Common sense(at least mine) dictate as a hardcore gamer performance and reliability is my main concern and priority. Bling bling features are no where near my priority list. After thorough consideration, i still prefer this lappie as i can get almost double the performance after customize and still not reaching 14k compared to alienware m15x. To those bling bling or alienware fans, stay out of this thread and brag elsewhere. Atm i'm using using sony ar59gu as my moderate gaming lappie and entertainment purposes and a hp compaq(company lappie) for office works. P.S: I was a neutral between alienware and sager before but after reading through from page 1, i felt it is necessary to voice out what i had in mind |

QUOTE(corad @ Jan 12 2009, 07:51 PM) yea, you get 10% off the amount you pay to xoticpc I guess u misunderstood me bro. What i meant was since you are the senior affliate and if you are the 1 who lay down the purchase, the discount should be about 25% right? its a good company so i stuck around As for student discount, issit still available? Well i'm pretty much interested at NP9262 and i'm planning to get it by end of this month(still have more than 2 weeks So i'll be looking forward to hear from u bro |

QUOTE(corad @ Jan 13 2009, 02:53 AM) thanks for the review Oh that sucks man, anyway can i use the your link for np8660 to get np9262 or do i have to get direct link for np9262 to be eligible for the 10% discount?. and glad the laptop is up to expectations. I've emailed sager support about the the unlocked multipliers. i only did it a few hours ago,(sorry) so waiting for their response. noticed that your laptop dosent have the Centrino2 sticker. wonder why they did that ... btw: to my fellow forumers, i'll wont be as active for these 2 weeks. just had my 1st paper today, and i underestimated how tough it would be So far already customized to my prefered set up, just waiting to clear up some personal matters before purchasing Oh ya regarding the unlocked multipliers, u requested after u lay down the purchase or before purchase? Sorry to bother u during your examination time |

QUOTE(22 @ Jan 13 2009, 06:37 PM) If you were to retrieve it yourself, the only thing you'll be paying for is your car's fuel, there is no tax imposed on laptops. Well, for the bank wiring form, I think it's almost the same for all banks. You'd have to have the ABA routing code, bank address, the bank name and etc. Just bring along all the details with you and approach one of the bank's staff and inquire about TT. There should be a form for you to fill up. And of course, don't forget to bring along the cash. Weird? I check out, searched through in and out but couldn't find the code. Tried going through the whole process thrice but still nothing. Anyway will try again now, hopefully can see it this time.Don't worry about the whole TT, as long as you print out the email that xoticpc sends you regarding the payment method and approach a senior staff of the bank, there's no way you'll go wrong. If I'm not mistaken, the cash rebate code is written on that page itself, go through the whole page, it is written there in plain sight, if I'm not mistaken, of course. Edit: Any idea which page the code was in and which part? (delivery information? or payment information or confirmation? This post has been edited by kirakun: Jan 13 2009, 08:55 PM |

QUOTE(Ashikune @ Jan 13 2009, 08:59 PM) Hey kira, if I am not mistaken, the code should be cashrebate. This was the code I entered in to get the discount when I ordered my laptop. Hope this helps. Gosh, how can i miss that Edit: The code can be found at the bottom of the customisation page for Sager laptops (the page where you choose your specs). I quote Xotic PC - Please use coupon code "cashrebate" during our checkout process to receive our special discounted cash price. Btw any1 here did tt by online banking? Any tips and guide? I'm outstation atm so have to do it online. |

Added on January 14, 2009, 5:48 pmBtw any here have any idea which email xoticpc frequently uses? I mail a few enquiries to service@xoticpc.com but got no reply? And that was few days ago. Bro corad, normally how u correspond with xoticpc? Need to get them to unlock the cpu multiplier as soon as possible. This post has been edited by kirakun: Jan 14 2009, 05:48 PM |

QUOTE(corad @ Jan 14 2009, 08:02 PM) spike of orders from around here maybe ? Well all the packages do include the standard international warranty for parts and labor. But we need to pay for extension and extras to it. Anyway that's the weird part, no reply from them at all unless you bought xoticpc warrenty, most of your technical queries are sent to : techsupport@sagernotebook.com . i'm surprised they din't at least email you back. i'm not too sure how legal it is, with taxes on their side and everything. I'm not one to argue with them, so i'm just letting this one slide still, without the 10% its still a good buy for future buyers and to be fair, they were sympathetic when i quoted the high shipping fee's + non local warranty support and replied : ![]() |

QUOTE(corad @ Jan 16 2009, 09:30 PM) 10% isn't that much of a difference. it's like another module of RAM i guess. but one thing is for sure, the longer you wait ... the better laptops become No idea about the extra charges bro but the amount xoticpc acknowledge received was us23 less than the amount that i bank wired to them. Anyway i ordered a sager np9262(posted a few times in my previous posts bro haha, welcome back ! so far, xoticpc still offers the best deal for sager notebooks. din't bring your sager along to game ? a further USD23 ? thats odd, i've only encountered my own bank charges. which sager did you get ? it won't overheat if you take care of it yeap the old school way of overclocking As for unlocking the cpu multiplyer request, here's the reply from them: Hello, thank you for your email. I am sorry we are not aware of having any of our laptops overclock the CPU. If your friend found a way to do so, this would be at your disgression. We provide the machines one way and if your friend found a way to do it, then you should also. Please let us know how we can be of further assistance. Thanks, XOTIC PC Service Department I guess that end of the journey to unlock my cpu multiplyer. Previously who did u refer to, to unlock your cpu corad? Btw corad, did u have any sales representative from xoticpc sales department to follow up your order? Seems like mine's a bit delayed in the process of acknowledment of my 2nd or complete payment. Don't ask why i made it into 2 separate payment as it is our bank policy that for any online foreign tt=max limit for a day transaction=rm10k. I did my 1st payment on 14/01/09 malaysian time zone and they received it on the same day 14/01/09 in US or 15/01/09 here in Malaysia due to 14 hours of difference in time zone. 2nd payment i made on 15/01/09(Thursday malaysian time-morning) but until now 17/01/09 they haven't acknowledged receiving it yetblink: ,. Mailed and called them but same answer received=haven't received the payment yet No idea what happened but my guess are either purposely delayed as weekend coming soon or ???. Anyway i'm going to mail the scanned receipts to them and get a sales representative to follow up my order. I guess that all for now. Damn! The least i expected to happen just happened. |

Yeap same goes to me but in my case i had to pay additional US23x2 as the tt had to be done in 2 consequtive days. Actually was expecting a better feedback and customer service as my laptop is considered 'premium laptop' but instead the opposite scenario happened. Hopefully it is just me as this issue can seriously affect the reputation of xoticpc.
As for unlocking cpu's multipliers, i did request for it through mail and stated specifically "unlock my cpu multiplier" not oc my cpu but the reply i got was !@# as mentioned above. Guess the guy who replied my mail was not actually from technical department lol. Anyway i'll wait until monday, reafirm with my bank(maybank) that the tt did went through then i'll decide the next course of action which include requesting for a full refund(if xoticpc still haven't receive my tt yet). |

QUOTE(corad @ Jan 19 2009, 04:59 AM) i can't do much man. sorry Yeap, finally some good news you would have to email them if you're unsatisfied. i see problem are cropping up on this thread >< hopefully will be helpful to future buyers so they'll have something to refer to . but hope it's just a snag on xoticpc's side and that your laptop goes through... (with no more hassale My order will be updated today QUOTE(jacksonyong @ Jan 19 2009, 10:25 AM) Wah kirakun had to pay RM10k for the laptop altogether !? Well if i have 20k readily available plus sufficient time for a vacation then i might consider it I salute you ! I would suggest plan a holiday trip to the US. Buy the Sager there and bring it back. QUOTE(N1-C @ Jan 19 2009, 10:28 AM) Well i guess it is not much different than other sager's laptop in term of design besides the spec of coz. Anyway will keep u guys updated on it.Added on January 19, 2009, 12:07 pm QUOTE(Ashikune @ Jan 19 2009, 11:40 AM) It's here! Congrats to u, how long it took from after the order was confirmed to the day u received it?Meticulously crafted, brushed aluminum, creating a strong exterior finish all the while exuding elegance. Oh man, I'm in love lol. Will update this post soon (I hope). At the moment suffering through the initial charge - have to go handcuff myself to my bedpost to stop myself from turning the Sager on. Latest update, just receive my sager np9262 this morning heheh. Actually the lappie arrived yesterday afternoon but due to nobody at home resulted me to self collect this morning. Well where do I start hehe, the box was big, weighing over 20kg LOL. The packaging was nice, tight and fit. Moving to the lappie, it was thicker, bulkier and heavier than I expected. But if compared to my Sony vaio, the np9262 is smaller in term of it's width. Anyway will continue the review later as I'm in hurry atm, catching my flight to kl LOL.
