yes! this sager are still from xoticpc, they are still the best place to get a clevo/sager notebook at a very considerable price!!

I myself was very surprised that a bidder would actually buy it on that price i thought of changing the price to only 2.2k if it doesnt sell well but behold suddenly someone wants it more, i also give some nice free gifts which is;
1) cooler pad zalman NC-1000
2) Pendrive 8GB
3) headphones
4) Card reader
5) Kaspersky AV 2009 original

Anyway Bankster are you a student? If yes how do you find carrying it to school? ~1 hour carrying it with a messenger bag/backpack.

Yeap, well i needed something that can play current and coming games at highest setting while last at least a year . As for quad-core or dual-core, it did crossed my mind but most available review informed that unless the laptop is for application and multitasking uses, it will be pointless to get a quadcore. Games utilizes part of cpu speed(individual cpu speed matters more rather than no. of cpus available) as the quadcore runs at lower speed, besides ram and harddisk of course. while very much dependent on cpu memory and speed. . Therefore monster or godzilla pretty much depend on what u intend the laptop for .

Frankly speaking the lappie is pretty huge and heavy expecially the power adapter besides the lappie itself of course so i had to buy a trolley laptop bag and wolla all problem solved . Luckily the width is about an inch smaller compared to my sony(having trouble finding a trolley type laptop bag that can fit it in) lappie. At the moment still 'burning in' my lappie, the speaker sound solid and surprisingly better than my sony lappie,4 speakers vs 2 speakers . As for the benchmark and games, i will post it up later as currently kinna busy . And the temperature for cpu ranging from 38 to 45 while gpu at around 50 but i do have my laptop cooler(zalman nc-2000) together .

No word on official support yet, maybe Eurocom put in their own custom heat sink? I doubt they will sell notebook that will burn a hole in them .

Im not in school BTW lolz , but in uni and im currently at west m'sia. I never intend to bring the notebook to my classes because it just freaking huge. But i been travelling around with moving from my place to my friend's place and i find the notebook are a bit heavy to carry because my previous notebook was an asus x51r, a 15.4 inch notebook that are really light... ... About the hours, after 1 hour i still doesnt feel the heaviness however after 2 hours and so, then the heaviness started to get to my shoulder lolz... however after carrying it for like a month or so i was able to get used to the weight YEAH! ... Im using a backpack rather than a messenger bag since its much more convenient for me.

I rarely carry this notebook around and usually just put it at my room/house/college. Im also hooking it up to my 28" external monitor back at sabah. But since im at west, i didnt bring my external... so im stuck with the 17"

The switch from a 15.4" to a 17" was amazing and the feeling was much more satisfying when im playing games on it and also watching some movies. The screen makes me indulge into the games that made it soooo realistic since its bigger. Which makes it hard for me to actually stay away from my notebook because the screen is the thing that i loved so much.... i just hope it wouldnt effect my studies lolz...

Although there are one of my classmate that brings along an ASUS gaming notebook, the G70 series if im not mistaken but its an old version which only have SLI 8700m GT... lolz, the brat wanted attention so much (especially from the girls) that he is willing to bring the notebook every freaking day to class just to say this word to his fellow friends, "My notebook is the best and coolest in the world because it has two graphic card and it will much more powerful than a desktop that have a single card". As you can see from his point of view about "gaming", Two graphic cards will always dominate a single card despite whatever the graphic card is. Yes, he also believes that his SLI8700m Gt will beat a single 9800GTX and even the GTX260... WOW his IT knowledge is a very sad thing.... spoiled brat

p/s: he bought the notebook for 9.8k exactly.... with vista ultimate..

interesting, i wonder what it would look like it you don't buy the finger print reader.

also their default wifi chip is the old module offered on the centrino. so say you bought say a P9500 would they have to throw in the wifi module and bluetooth for free ? anybody want to try ?

Hi there... i read from page 1 to page 24 and found out the 10% off by corad is gone. quite a disappointment.... And i have a few questions here...
Anyone from Singapore bought Sager and had it shipped to Singapore? - May i ask if GST is imposed on the product when you receive it?
I am looking at Sager NP5797 currently and i was told that Singapore has a reseller for Sager but was disappointed that the cost of buying in Singapore is more expensive than i had it shipped over. Lol. That 10% corad offered last few month ago can help me out alot since the total cost after customization is US$3348.

i wasn't aware of any Sager retailers in SE Asia and if they were, wouldn't it be cheaper to get all their stuff from Clevo (in taiwan) instead of having the laptops shipped to the states and back again just to get a brand ?

They told me one of the Sager retailers in SE Asia is SGcubehub. But when i customized the same specs on the xoticpc website. it cost roughly $S1k more (includes shipping fee.)

Still, buy sagers laptop off exoticpc since the price is much cheaper than what sgcubehub is selling after including shipping fees and discounts.

Yes... I'm referring to college of course, hard to imagine anything below than that need to carry notebook to school (With all the textbooks... You have to have plenty of muscle to kill lol )

Never own a 17" before and since its not much more heavier; ~0.5kg, might consider it on my next investment. Thanks for the reply.
