I've used a dell , hp and toshiba before. But for me, the sager's build still comes out as tops,they really don't skim on anything    nothing wrong so far, but with tech stuff it's always hard to tell till anything happens.

the USD 223 will get a 3% reduction as well if you pay by bank transfer. For me, this laptop was still cheaper than anything else in the market with the same specs and IMHO it's build quality is superior as well 

people are speculating that the dollar will dip within these few months 

only the bottom cover is plastic while the rest of the surfaces is aluminium.    Yes, even better than HP or Toshiba 

if you're going to be in Aust, i suggest you find a clevo retailer over there.(they are the ppl who supply Sager)  then you'll have local warranty and wont hv to pay such a hefty price for shipping.

IMO sager's notebooks are quite the value for money and has hell lot of good specs.

As I do not currently have a Malaysian online banking account (been studying in Australia the past four years), I physically went to the my bank's nearest branch and filled in a remittance/transfer request form. Once I did that I just brought it to a teller and voila!

However if you do happen to have an online banking account with access to international money transfers, the process becomes even simpler. Do note that if you have not previously transferred money internationally using your online banking account, you will need to call your bank and ask them to raise the transfer limit (default is usually 0).

depends how long you're willing to wait. 6 more months and clevo would probably be out with another beast 

bottom line: get a sager only if you're confident with computers.

you can't rival the specs or the price, but you'll be forfeiting warranty. Be prepared to fix it yourself if it's broken. only if ya 
but the warranty is not that useful for us outside the states. it would probably be more convenient and cheaper to swap any spoilt part by ourselves.

I agree. We don't have so many brands and configuration in Australia. In dicksmith, harvey norman and such shops, they just carry Dell, HP, Toshiba notebooks and the specs are not that good.
