Thanks man. The box will be sent back next week. IC7's temp... quite ok la. So far the highest I've got for GPU is 90 after trying out BFBC2 at max settings but without AA. CPU... broke to low 70's in the games and benchmarks. sad.gif Should I take a look under the hood to see how they apply the paste?
My fans are quite quiet. I'm surprised. Didn't sound like yours tho. @_@
Thanks! biggrin.gif

Warranty shop, from previous posts of Mucro, is handled by Vital Computers. Technically, they don't really handle the warranty issues but if any problems with the laptops, when your warranty runs out, that shop can take care of your laptop for you.

Mucro Asia is reliable. They order the laptops from the official Sager resellers (as Sager does not have a physical store, they only deal with online orders) and sends them to you via the shipping method that you specified (there are a few and the fastest is TNT Shipping which costs RM205 [1-3 days delivery]).

There are a many who post here regularly have bought from Mucro Asia, including me. The thing I notice is that Mucro tests out your laptop before sending it to you to make sure that it is in proper working order (I could be wrong but I'm judging this from my experience when I first got my laptop it was installed with Windows 7 64-bit named mucro). You can pay them via online bank transfer to their Maybank account. Mucro also handles upgrades that you want to do on your laptop, like what I did the last few weeks was upgrade my GPU to the HD5870 from a GTX 280M. One thing you need to note though, sometimes they don't answer your first email but when you email them a 2nd time, they'll reply you as fast as lightning. laugh.gif

Overall, you can trust them to get your laptop to you and be sure that it's in proper working order (although there are some rare cases where the screen has 1 or more dead pixel but this, you can simply email them and send it back to them to get it changed).

I promise you, you will not regret buying a Sager laptop. There are very few laptop. Once you go Sager, you'll never look at other brands again. Trust me on this. If there's any other points that I've missed, hope the others can add-in. biggrin.gif

why the sigh ?

the G73 is nice laptop. Depends on what you want ,

Sager = upgradable, more ports, can do RAID 0, less problems than the G73 (or so i hear)

G73 = warrenty, SSD , looks "nicer" , slightly cheaper if on base config

cooling on both machines are equally good but the G73 dosent use the MXM port so you'll can only put what Asus decides in the GC slot instead of the OEM cards in Sager

hi fellow sager users. i'm kinda stuck between getting my sager 8690 from mucro or from xoticpc. comments?
there's come pros and cons getting from either of them.

Mucro
Pros:
1) i can collect the order myself.
2) if there's any problem with the notebook i can bring it back to them to fix it without having to send it to usa.

Cons:
1) i know nothing about them, their quality, how they handle their product, service, support etc.

Xotic:
Pros:
1) handles their product very well from what i heard. having them to send it to malaysia from usa and arrive in perfect condition.
2) good customer service.

Cons:
1) i may have to wait for a long period of time (a few weeks maybe?) after i checkout
2) if there's any problem i'll have to send it back to usa (or i think so) and the cost is mine to bare.

i'd go for xotipc.

they're the cheaper option after all.

and if there's the very unlikely chance of having a prob , try to see which component is going wrong, then just send that piece back to the US. Unless of course if it's ur monitor / mobo ... then it's not worth dismantling the whole laptop just to take that out tongue.gif

Click this:
http://www.mucro.asia/index.php?/vmchk/Muc...ger-NP8690.html
Then:
Change the Currency to RM on the left side of the screen.
Then:
Configure to what you want.
Then:
Click add to Cart and go to Cart and check your total.
Then:
Add shipping price (RM 205 for TNT 1 ~ 3 day shipping).

That's your price.

Would you recommend anything other than TNT ? I'm quite worried about the other non-insured shippings. sweat.gif
