awesome, cheers mate !
Would you recommend anything other than TNT ? I'm quite worried about the other non-insured shippings. |

ah no no you misunderstood my point, what I was trying to say is other than TNT ( which is insured ), would you recommend me trying other non-insured shippers lol.
But yea I guess it's a no brainer to not spend a little bit more to ensure that you product is safe Thanks for your time bro, appreciate it. |

To all the sifus in here, I'll be heading to the UK in October this year and I'm planning to get this from Mucro asia , probably costs around 5.1 k including shipping =). Will lag be an issue due to the bigger resolution as opposed to the conventional 16:9 ? Can my proc handle it and I don't know a single thing about the thermal paste mentioned above, will using a cooler rid me of this extra expenditure ? p.s. asus g73 is one of my options ,but the weight really is an issue for me. |

QUOTE(Fantasia @ Aug 6 2010, 07:27 PM) yaya the aspect ratio, sorry I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this. The default option is 15.6 inch HDplus/GT 16:9, I'm planning to get FHD WUXGA/GT. The difference lies in the HD part only is it ? nothing to do with the screen resolution or aspect ratio ? QUOTE(SonicSpyro @ Aug 6 2010, 07:47 PM) The max your screen can support is 1920x1080 at 16:9. I doubt you can go any higher. As for lag, if you're gaming, like GTA 4, your CPU is good enough to handle it and give good frame rates as the game is CPU intensive and not GPU intensive. For other games, the GPU is already in the high-end range which means that it can handle almost any game currently out there and maybe a few future ones. From my experience, with the GPU, it tends to get a little hot but it's normal (idle at 55 ~ 60 and max load at 78 ~ 82). If you're talking about watching HD movies, that beast can handle anything. Thanks a lot for your information bro, was pondering about upgrading it to i7 but from what I see, my current spec should suffice As for the thermal paste issue, it's quite easy to learn. Sometimes you can cool your laptop a lot more if the paste is applied correctly. If you don't want, the laptop itself is already good at dissipating heat while the cooler also helps as it directs air flow straight into the vents. Hope this helps. Good luck with your purchase. As for the cooler, I guess any cooler will do the trick ? Shall get the thermal paste if it's really hot after I get it. Don't mind me asking, what is your 8690's spec QUOTE(viruz019 @ Aug 6 2010, 07:49 PM) dimiderbs..i dn tink it will reach 5.1k withs hipping to malaysia..tat spec most basic shud be 4k+..add the screen + hdd..around 4.3k..shipping forget hw mch le..200+ i tink..then reach kl hehe Bro, i included a razer earphone and a cooler along with a 2 year warranty , total cost around 400-500 extraThis post has been edited by Dimiberbs: Aug 6 2010, 08:04 PM |

How did you guys pay for your sager laptops when ordering from Mucro ya ? I tried using Paypal but it says the merchant doesn't accept currency denominated in MYR.

I'm placing my order today, still deliberating about the CPU. Is i5 more than enough for my needs ? Or should I go opt for the '' future-proof '' i7 ?
I don't do video editing, mainly games and movies. This post has been edited by Dimiberbs: Sep 7 2010, 02:34 PM |

Haha, that's really relieving because I emailed them when I first made the payment and they said they received it but the status has been the same ever since then. Thanks mate, I really can't wait to get my hands on my baby.

QUOTE(Mucro.Asia @ Sep 21 2010, 01:57 PM) Your machine was a little bit special as we had the parts for your machine. Rest assured that your warranty is the correct one as the one in the invoice as you will be able to check your warranty in http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=warranty_check I see All the parts in your laptop are Sager parts except for the hard disk, which has a 3 year Seagate warranty. Also you have a free upgrade of the wifi card. Well the important thing is that the machine works fine, will run tests on it tomorrow and hopefully everything turns out fine. QUOTE(Mucro.Asia @ Sep 23 2010, 12:41 AM) Sager has just said we can have a logo. We'll send you one when we receive it. On the other hand, how long do I have to charge the laptop battery when charging for the 1st time ? This post has been edited by Dimiberbs: Sep 23 2010, 01:55 AM |
