QUOTE(Noregrets @ Aug 9 2015, 09:16 PM) Thanks. Just bought from Desa. Stronger bass than 10.1. Problem is now I have way too many speakers. Will have to decide whether to use the 10.1 as front surround or the T105. Easier to use T105 as it is easier to sell the 10.1. Not possible to just sell 3 T105 speakers I think. I need the other 2 T105 for rear surround and the subwoofer which came with it. Hi Noregret, If you regret getting your 10.7, do PM me as I am looking for affordable floor stand speaker. Ops.. wait.. if you regret buying anything... Then it will be conflict with your nicks...

QUOTE(neo_lam @ Aug 11 2015, 11:38 PM) so 10.2 or 220 better? Double GT is shop name? Bass handling on 220 I expect to be more flexible and controlled, more easier for placement, also they always enhance their products, though I would not say much difference if compare to 10.2, some people prefer the look of the classic 10.2. Double GT Sdn Bhd is company name. You try search. These speakers I would not say they are entry level or high end, just feel that it sound right, not the perfect sound and never will, for that price, you get to enjoy more than enough, I advise you choose based on outlook preference, and better yet go audition with guarantee assurance. Normal amp like Marantz and Yamaha will work just fine, though I have some problems with Class D amp like Topping, with some exceptions like Class D Audio power amp, which I currently use to driver Wharfedale Denton, sound wonderful enough for me

Getting Started

|
Hi Guys.
Want to ask experienced people who have used Diamond DX-1 HCP speaker package. I need your opinion before I spend for it.
This speaker get 5 star in WhatHifi review. But I started to doubt WhatHifi reviews because not all of them are correct based on my past experience with Boston Acoustics Soundware XS, Marantz PM6005, Philips HTL-9100.
I don't want to be regretful person every time I purchase a wrong item.
Currently I use Wharfedale Diamond 9, as reference model.
Wharfedale Diamond 10 sounds bright to me.
I wonder if Wharfedale DX-1 HCP package also bright? Or lack of warmth? If you can describe the sound character, is it more like Diamond 8, 9, or 10?

Of course with different equipment connect to it will change it. I will think the DX-1 is like any other diamond series
