Not necessary Nokia. Any BT GPSr will works wth Nokia...such as

1) Garmin 10X (Recommended for easy setup but damn expensive)
2) Holux series such as M1000/m1200 & the older but much better sirf 111 model of 236 series
4) Podo, sanax, & etc....

If u intend to get Garmin MXT navigation, I suggest u to stick to Garmin10X. Others BT GPSr u need to seperately buy the SD card which will be another cost to you

Added on December 2, 2008, 3:41 pmPretty normal my N78 took almost 5 min also esp if u stop in location A & restart at another location b which is far apart. but if u stop at the spot u restart it will be fast...<1min

I suggest u buy entry level / cheaper Bluetooth GPS Receiver like Holux, they cost around RM200 and can be used with N81 with Garmin Map, I personally test it myself last time before i switch to N82 and it locks satellite faster than my current N82.

Nokia Map indeed is useless though, u can use Garmin with Malsing/Malfreemap and once u get hold of GPS u will be very very happy haha~

U can follow what Stimix said by getting Garmin 10X receiver and use Garmin Software for free because it can pair with Garmin Receiver without having to buy the license.

or

U can buy a cheaper receiver and buy the license for Garmin Mobile XT

conclusion, Garmin 10X with free Garmin Mobile XT or Cheaper receiver and have to buy Garmin Mobile XT license.

@stimix - i installed gmxt10 for winmo on my friends palm pro treo dunno what what else model number.

works fantastic. his signal lock even faster than mine. under 5 secs.
accuracy - off the grid. wayyyyyy off the grid.

funny thing is, when u install gmxt onto a winmo pda, i didnt know u can use it as a gmpc. remember the selection of use inbuilt or bluetooth connection in the system settings ? well i na pda u have additional 1 which is split into another 4. com4 com6 irda port and 1 other which i forgot. meaning i cna use the pda as a receiver only while hooked onto the pc and track direct using mapsos ?

Anywhere, I suggest u buy online, it can be cheaper, look around in Garage Sales area, someone selling very cheap. Can consider getting 1 unit from him then install ur own *cough* *cough* garmin mobile xt. A second hand unit is quite cheap also, I sold mine @ RM150 and frankly it works really great especially the battery life~

Hi. I wanna say thanks for those who helped me in the pass. I think i owe you guys some reviews on GPS usage heheh

I bought a bluetooth gps device that pair up with my dopod. After getting it to work with Garmin Mobile XT, I find that searching for street name aren;t getting any result.. For that, I have to search for landmark, or sometime looked at the map on the internet to get to the location and then mark it on My Location. Anyway, it is quite accurate, up to the store and shop name.

I hereby wish to thank everyone that has been patient with my stupid questions bombardment^^
