plasma response time is 0.001ms
lcd response time is 4ms (at best model) - philips sucks at this. and also their pixel plus hd 1/2/3 sucks big time..stay away...

Hi end or not...I prefer to stay away from Koreans. My friend has one and he's tired of sending his sammy back to the manufacturers already. If u can afford it why not just go for Japannese brands.
How much is the 37' PV80 now anyway?

Dude, get your fact right!!. Kuros won almost every award in flat tv for PQ - even the entry 428, and it still 1024x768!
The Koreans may have won it for something else - connectivity, design, etc... But King Of PQ, Kuro win hands down..

i'm not even familiar with the model rankings for korean plasmas... to me, they're only good in the LCD biz... they have to be coz they're the biggest LCD suppliers in the world.

Just get my Sharp LC42A65M yesterday, the PQ damn nice and good. Even watch movie or connected to the laptop, the screen seem smooth and nice.

Later need to celebrate cos this is the 1st time i using 42" LCD TV for internet, wahahahahahah!

Thanks to htkaki, good service and good advice were provided.

Any owners of PV80 managed to connect their laptops to it and not get the squished effect?? I connected mine and my PV80 managed only to detect an XGA input via the PC input to display the resolution of 1024x768. I am unable to set it to WXGA, but my laptops native resolution is 1440x900 though which is oredi 16:9 ratio aspect I guess. Anyone knows any method for the PV80 to get it to accept WXGA input of 1366x768?? Thanks.

42" with native 1024x768 only biggrin.gif ... Referred to the user manual just now and it says there that the PC input is able to receive WXGA 1366x768 though. Dunno whether did I misinteprete or that particular detail is just for the 50" PV80.
