^ Means u have to make sure whatever u watch, its all in full screen without the black bars at either of the 4 sides.
U break in to age the "phosphors" evenly.. kinda tedious. I gave up after about 100hrs. |

just went to desa home theater in lowyat.
dv410 still selling 450rm phillips 5996 selling 399 (although the guy said, if take cash, can give lower). But he recommended to take dv410 cos, when the coaxial cable pops into the amp, and the hdmi cable pops into the tv, one of the signals will be cut off and it wont be simultaneous (so he recommend pioneer dv410) How true i dont know. But what caught my attention was the LG scalett 37 inch. It was very clear, balanced and pretty sharp (compared to the rest). I would say looks even better then the S series. And they were selling 2999 plus S cable free. (and 30rm extra delivery to shah alam). Anyway just wanna share with u guys. Cheers PS : Cmon htkaki...lg scarlett 37 inch |

QUOTE(tanleeseng @ Nov 2 2008, 10:50 PM) 1. I'm not sure how to describe this but I saw some high end LCD panels which are able to make films look like a videos (It's like the movements of the actors becomes very smooth and you can really differentiate the foreground and background). Is the Motion Picture Pro something similar to this because I don't really notice it like I did with those LCD panels that has that function. 2. How do you access the demo mode for the 100Hz/60Hz splitscreen demo in LX800 ? Is it a function only available for display unit ? 3. I notice there is a minor hissing sound when I'm watching certain local TV channels (Most noticeable is 8TV). Do you guys face have the same proplem ? Thanks. 1. The function I mentioned is called "anti-judder" which are only available in high ends model Like Sony X series, Samsung 6 series...etc (mostly 40" above). The 100Hz/120Hz refresh has nothing to do with it. I found these 2 articles which are very useful : Link 1 : (720p Vs. 1080p) Link 2 : (Six things about 120Hz LCD TV) 2. It seems that the 100Hz/60Hz demo is a specially recorded video which is for the shop only. 3. (I'm still waiting for someone to answer this one Regards. |

Finally got my 37 incher hooked up. Nothing to run on it except astro now and it is pretty bad >.<. Using normal svideo cable. Not much difference from the normal composite.
Hoping to get HD content soon bleh. Other than that, the LCD looks bloody sweet |

QUOTE(pspfan @ Nov 5 2008, 11:09 AM) tried vga, 1024x768 hey psp, i'm an owner of that tv too. I plug my kinda old pentium 4 pc to that tv via hdmi. Using quite an old GC...but the main point is, try using PowerStrip to alter the resolution. The older graphic cards are not reallly that user friendly to new fullhd tv's...but powerstrip software...totally helped me. With that software, i'm able to make it display at fullhd resolution. Perhaps your flicker problem is it is at 1080i? not too sure, but powerstrip can let u choose p and i as you like...might wana try themhdmi - the py800 flicker non stop at 1200x800, cant select any higher resolutions. any other py800 owners experienced this? |
