QUOTE(vex @ Oct 18 2008, 11:59 PM) RM1499 to be exact. Never made research of this model. When i happened to walk in the store, saw this one and bought it straightaway as its within my budget. Just for watching movies in my small bedroom. Looks better than my old CRT 29inch Panasonic T Tau and save admirable space too! |

Just checking the UK version of Panasonic LX700MK, the 1 main difference is the HDMI input. The UK version got 3 HDMI input, and our Malaysia only got 2 Input. Hehehe. Others are the same.

QUOTE(ryansxs @ Oct 22 2008, 11:49 PM) hi guys...im planning to get a TV this weekend. pls advice me. Probably you can enlighten the guru's here of where u going to put it.living room ka or bedroom ka.room size, distance from your seat to the tv.i have read through the last few pages, i found that many of you guys recommended Panny 42PV80H. so i am kinda having a strong feeling for that. i would like to ask, is buying a LCD not a good idea now? i have a budget of say 6k, would you guys recommend a bigger size plasma or 42 would be sufficient? to be frank, mostly used for astro. im newbie for this, suggestion is really appreciated. by the way, samsung not that good? |

QUOTE(atah @ Oct 24 2008, 09:34 AM) thanks, but surge protector can only protect against voltage surge, not regulating the voltage. does it means that we need a automatic voltage regulator (avr) as well? I bought new extension socket with Surge Protector to use with my new set. ALso been using to other equipment for years. And so far no problem. Also in the warranty , they advised us to use surge protector. AVR better i think. |

QUOTE(slash @ Oct 27 2008, 04:49 PM) Just wondering how many of you use LCD TV as pc monitors? I always use my 32" LCD as a monitor to watch movies from my laptop. I am using s-video to component video,so movies looks good(not spectacular cause it is a dvd resolution). But my panel is 100Hz,and quite ok for fast action movies. For games, i haven't tried yet. My distance is 5-6 feet away. Thinking of getting a 32" lcd tv, but curious as to how it will perform being a monitor. Any issues with 'lag' for games? How far should I be from the TV for optimal viewing? 30 inches? This post has been edited by elwwmatrix: Oct 27 2008, 06:39 PM |

QUOTE(prasys @ Oct 27 2008, 10:52 PM) I am using one as PC Monitor but its for HTPC , to watch videos , to view photos and to listen to songs. Depending if you're going to get a full HD TV or HD Ready TV Set. I am using HD Ready TV set and so far so good. I can game at 720p or at 1080i (meaning that I can choose resolution in between 720p to 1080i) as opposed to connecting my PC using VGA ! I always KNEW S-video is analogue. My laptop don't have HDMi connectivity thats y i use the only connection available. I am using 30Hz (60 ?) regular HD Ready LCD (Panny) and I don't get any lags when I am playing games such as MMORPG and RPGs. For me it looks fine , maybe my eyes aren't sharp enough to see I wonder why you didn't use HDMI instead ! S-video is analogue , you should be using DVI to HDMI for pure digital to digital connectivity if I got HDMi y would i use the analogue one?
