like our 800 series would be TH-50PY800H and TH-50PZ800U is for US. same series, same level but not same model code comes wif different specs.. so u cannot compare their review to our models

hi guys...im planning to get a TV this weekend. pls advice me.
i have read through the last few pages, i found that many of you guys recommended Panny 42PV80H. so i am kinda having a strong feeling for that.
i would like to ask, is buying a LCD not a good idea now?
i have a budget of say 6k, would you guys recommend a bigger size plasma or 42 would be sufficient? to be frank, mostly used for astro.
im newbie for this, suggestion is really appreciated. by the way, samsung not that good?

Just wondering how many of you use LCD TV as pc monitors?

Thinking of getting a 32" lcd tv, but curious as to how it will perform being a monitor. Any issues with 'lag' for games? How far should I be from the TV for optimal viewing? 30 inches?

I am using one as PC Monitor but its for HTPC , to watch videos , to view photos and to listen to songs. Depending if you're going to get a full HD TV or HD Ready TV Set. I am using HD Ready TV set and so far so good. I can game at 720p or at 1080i (meaning that I can choose resolution in between 720p to 1080i) as opposed to connecting my PC using VGA !
I am using 30Hz (60 ?) regular HD Ready LCD (Panny) and I don't get any lags when I am playing games such as MMORPG and RPGs. For me it looks fine , maybe my eyes aren't sharp enough to see
I wonder why you didn't use HDMI instead ! S-video is analogue , you should be using DVI to HDMI for pure digital to digital connectivity
