really crapssss!! on asia.cnet and cnet itself this model has different review. asia.cnet did not said it introduce flicker in the review but then i saw on the page of tips&tricks i saw them advice to off the 24p on ps3 to prevent from py800 flicker. so confusing. cnet said py850 has inaccurate primary color but then asia.cnet did not said so. soooooo confusing!! btw i had sent my questions to them and waiting for their reply..
*
your py800 got flicker prob with ps3 on 24p? funny..

your py800 doesnt have flicker at 24p switched on for movies? AVS forum and asia.cnet said if the 24p is turned on the py800 and py850 gives flicker to your movies..

will try tonite..

Today's STAR paper advertise the Samsung Series 7, 8 & 9. No pricing given.

The 9 series is LED LCD tv.
*
yes bro... both samsung's 9 series(http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/home_av/tvs/0,39037585,43986287p,00.htm) and also sony's upcoming x series r LED screens.. im hoping the 46 inch models to be priced below 20k smile.gif

erm, well...

if the usage of the PC takes more than 50% on your TV. it is clearly to buy a LCD tv.

if we are talking about the standard usage, which means watching astro or DVD most of the time, the LCD TV seems inferior to the plasma tv.

so, for your case, it is hard to determine the standard.  smile.gif

i have to agree with u buddy... coz i connect my htpc to my tv most of the time for my digital content, seldom watch astro, mostly bluray and some ps3 gaming :smile.gif

You are using vga cable or HDMI - HDMI to connect PC to PY800?

Added on November 5, 2008, 10:59 amWant to get another LA46A610 or A650 for new house. Any comment on that?
*
tried vga, 1024x768
hdmi - the py800 flicker non stop at 1200x800, cant select any higher resolutions.

any other py800 owners experienced this?

When u say PC, u meant using VGA? I connect my PC to my PY800 using HDMI and I get 1920 x 1080 with no problems.
Graphics card : Radeon 2400 HD Pro with HDMI
