Wow ! 50PV80 RM6690.Wat about PY800 ? I came to understand that PY800 approx RM6999,correct me if i'm mistaken.I wanted PY800 but can"t efford lol.

one warning- if u wanna connect pc- py800 then its 1024x768..... thats the main reason why i sold my py800 for samsung 9 series

tried vga, 1024x768
hdmi - the py800 flicker non stop at 1200x800, cant select any higher resolutions.

any other py800 owners experienced this?

A650, they won CNET 8 point of review.
Also i have personally scrutinized the quality. Although for transition and wording, the blurring a bit obvious, but overall, the quality is better than the rest of their series...if this is call bad, others are 3 x bad

Anyway recommend those who are buying Samsung LCD to personally tested out with high speed motion graphics, such as the latest cantonese series about diamond which the initial song part, the sliding show will be noticed stutter for many LCD TV, and if your TV can survive from the stutterness, then your TV is the top quality among all

commontan from Penang only sell 40" A650 at RM4999 (from another thread), the cheapest i found from anywhere....shop sell for RM5699 or something like that...such as Harvey Norman

When u say PC, u meant using VGA? I connect my PC to my PY800 using HDMI and I get 1920 x 1080 with no problems.

Yes, its retailed at around RM 5k ... i dun think the additional 1.5k justify the difference

LG80LCD 3.1Virtual Surround sound is marvellous...also the 50:000：1 contrast with 4ms response time.
Tomorrow going to bring a DVD high motion images flipping to try on the quality, if the quality is agreeable, definitely it's going to be my baby..  the competition of TV now is just so unbearable..every few months coming with the better quality and features..

But PG70 plasma only comes in 50" and above. That's too big for standard living hall size (terrace and condo)

I think the time now is the time to get Full HD TV...yup, i know Plasma like HD ready Panasonic looks great (even I bought one)...but come to think of it, Full HD players are becoming affordable...download speeds of the internet have services like superfast rapidshare .

I just bought a Panasonic 37" LCD TV (model TX 37LX80MK) in Butterworth, Penang for RM2,749 with 2 years warranty after paying membership fees of RM12. Add in another RM100 to buy Panasonic DVD player (worth about RM 160+). On top of that  with the points gathered on purchase of LCD TV, can buy the HDMI Philips DVD player at RM199 (normal price RM299).

Is this price OK?

Yes, my original intention was to buy Sharp because in most shops when they play Astro on the LCD TVs and comparing side by side, Sharp looks the best in colour definition and picture quality. Before I confirmed the purchase, I brought my notebook and a piece of my own DVD CD with movies downloaded from the internet and ask the shop assistant to test it. The tests showed Sharp was not so good as compared to other TV makes in displaying computer graphics and in playing downloaded movies. But when playing TV programs all were equally bad. The shop assistant said that Panasonic is the no 1 best selling product for his company throughout Malaysia. Panasonic in my own personal experience has a good record for product quality whereas the Sharp products which I have owned like fax machine, CRT TVs, etc seems to have faced quality problems.

And when I read the audiophile thread, a lot of people are rooting for Panasonic. So this tip my scale in favour for Panasonic over Sharp at the last moment.

something really confused me here.. a fullhd lcd tv that has 10k(DC) and hdcp lcd tv that has 20k(DC).. which one is better??
