btw, just wandering if changing my casing will improvement my CPU temp ka? does improvement really significant?
seen almost all new casing come with 120/90mm fan mounting all over the place, and seem to have better air circulation. |

QUOTE(Hawarizmi @ Oct 28 2011, 04:01 PM) btw, just wandering if changing my casing will improvement my CPU temp ka? does improvement really significant? Definitely case will improve your temp.. for now buy a mid tower casing is cool enough for your hardware.. the remaining depends on the airflow through the fans now.. CM690II is a good casing.. seen almost all new casing come with 120/90mm fan mounting all over the place, and seem to have better air circulation. |

bought myself a pair of arctic F12 PWM fans. RM20 each. in full speed, it runs a little less noisy than my standard lianli fan but blows more air.

QUOTE(yujin86 @ Jun 4 2012, 08:59 AM) after i clean up my cooling fan i think i pasang some of them terbalik =.= normally the fan should be blowing the air toward the heatsink in order to cool down the device ..may i know the cooling fan is blowing the heatsink or suck the air from it? and how about the cooling fan on the casing? is it sucking the air out or in? thanks any sifu for helping me =.= got some heatsink design which is the pulling type .. for casing default is exhaust fan .. if you have extra fan try to use it in intake fan . |

My desktop is currently using 7 fans. They are very noisy and cleaning them is a chore due to the wiring.

For 4.5Ghz should be around 70c++ Actually depends on your Vcore. If u can do below 1.3V should be fine. |

I use a 3770 in a CM690 II, and I'm getting 70C on full load when doing my daily tasks (converting images, generating video etc). As I'm on stock cooler, I'm thinking to reduce the full load temp with an aftermarket HSF.
Based on a quick glance at frostytech.com, I see the Xigmatek Dark Knight SD1283 Night Hawk (RM139) and performs similarly as the Noctua NH-D14 (RM289). Source: http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?...eid=2693&page=5 Question is, is it worth paying 2x for the Noctua or Xigmatek should be able to at least reduce the full load max temp from 70C to <60C? |

Using the noctua now and the cooling performance of this beast is awesome, true that it might be slightly expensive..but what they bundle are some high quality silent fans..
