hwmonitor is calibrated to tjmax=100C anyways. But sure, I will redo it for those

Err, I noticed realtemp 2.7 using tjmax=95 default and coretemp 0.99.3 uses tjmax=100C. So which do I follow? 95 will give 5C for every reading compared to 100.

This time should be sufficient to make it into the database, temperature reading with both coretemp and realtemp together-gether

There is 4 piece of rubber thingy for the fan isn't it? That one not considered vibration dampener?as for ccf rite seriusly got lot of lack.. no vibration damper for fan.. personally this ccf wan made for amd not for intel. if ur mobo have large hsf that located near the proc sure wont fit.... trust me go get ur self kw damn nice thou |

IBT > Prime95 in term of heat generation though.
I didn't know that C2Q is so hot on stock cooler. But it idles lower than my E8400 + CCF at stock in aircond room ._. |

You see, tkh's quad is overclocked and heavily overvoltaged compared to yours. Plus his only rise 25C from idle while yours is a 42C increase from idle despite being at stock vcore and stock clock.
The rest are all just C2D though, lesser heat generation definitely. Mine shaved about 13-15C off the load compared to stock |

LOL, same. When I put my arm after the CCF, practically can't feel any wind movement if the top exhaust are stopped. I think the top exhaust of my setup helped on the airflow.

Mmmmmm, maybe cause of my setup?
I can't mount it to face the exhaust had to face top instead. Though I have 2x 14cm fans on top to act as exhaust as well, and a 14cm bringing in fresh air from the side for the CCF. I didn't see much temp drops when opening the case anyways. Great ._. How come my CCF alienated a bit from the rest lol. PS. The heatsink isn't exactly warm when my temperature was showing 60C+ though... I touched it and it seems quite cool =/. Bad heat transfer from base? QUOTE(k!nex @ Nov 20 2008, 04:53 PM) probably not enuf heat yet to feel the 'hot' temp. u see here. when ur proc heats up the heatpipe, the heat travels from CCF base going upward while spreading the heat through the fins. during the journey, ur fan will cool it down constantly since CCF fan quite high RPM compare to my S1283 fan which is max 1400rpm+ only.I assume u touch the top of ur heatsink, if wan feel warm or not, touch the most bottom fin. Ground urself first before touching to avoid 'unwanted consequences' Not the top, I touched the heatpipes below. Didn't exactly felt hot (not like 60C lol. My GC's heatpipes were much hotter despite being at around 40C, or maybe the shorter + smaller amount of heatpipe on my GC I suppose)... had to squeeze my hands through.QUOTE(OC4/3 @ Nov 20 2008, 05:22 PM) That what i said, temperature sensor variation between chip is huge so t delta is much better comparsion delta between idle and load temp? |

Hmm, the RAM slot looks like it is very close to the processor. You will need to check the clearance just to make sure it doesn't touch it lo.

Wow, are the dimensions exactly the same as the KW? Then IMO it should outperform the little brother KW.
PS, how heavy the KW is? Cause this thing is gonna weight a lot more @@. Copper is much heavier =/. |

QUOTE(cdlim87 @ Dec 28 2008, 11:34 PM) mayb ur CM690 top exhaust fan work as well as back side exhaust, thats y not much diff kua... Using 2x 14cm fan on it. Evercool RedScorpion or something. Forgot the brand already.if other casing dun hv top exhaust will see a large diff mayb... can share a bit wat fan u use for top exhaust and back exhaust?? I disabled one of them when I put it side ways though, cause when the first fan is turned on, the CCF's fan rpm seem to drop a little.. Macam not enough air ._. Anyways, the difference between idle and load is the same as my other setup facing top. Oh another thing is... I touched my northbridge heatsink and my graphics card heatsink.. which both shows roughly below 40C.. They all felt warm.. But my CCF feels cold >.< although the CPU is idling at 35-40C. When loading at 60C+ also it feels cold @@. Definitely not as warm as the northbridge and the graphic card. Bad thermal transfer from CPU to my CCF? or is it faulty thermal diode? =(. |
