I use a 3770 in a CM690 II, and I'm getting 70C on full load when doing my daily tasks (converting images, generating video etc). As I'm on stock cooler, I'm thinking to reduce the full load temp with an aftermarket HSF.
Based on a quick glance at frostytech.com, I see the Xigmatek Dark Knight SD1283 Night Hawk (RM139) and performs similarly as the Noctua NH-D14 (RM289). Source: http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?...eid=2693&page=5
Question is, is it worth paying 2x for the Noctua or Xigmatek should be able to at least reduce the full load max temp from 70C to <60C?
Using the noctua now and the cooling performance of this beast is awesome, true that it might be slightly expensive..but what they bundle are some high quality silent fans..
