Very few Black metal bands actually worship Satan, anyway. They use Satan as a symbol, a metaphor against religion. They are anti-religion. They don't believe in a God or a Devil. It's only symbolism. Satanism has two branches. Lavayan Satanism (symbolic, the worship of self. Forms the vast majority of proclaimed [I]Satantists) and Theistic Satanism (The worship of the character Satan as portrayed in Abrahamic texts, accounts for a very small amount) The vast majority of Black Metal fans who call themselves Satanists, I expect fall into the symbolic worshipers.

haha, I think this is a great example of people going by hearsay and getting caught up in media hype. People think there are Quran burnings, however, you're a regular attendee of gigs and have never seen one, sounds like the media just want to whip up some sensationalist stories. It's also not surprising to hear that the media twisted things to suit their story about the gig in Seremban.

This kind of police action sounds like what happened in Britain in the 70s/80s. Trying to paint people as criminals because they don't fit in with the status quo, a complete overreaction to something they don't understand.

Do you know anywhere where I can find gig listings? I check a few pages, but I didn't hear about that gig.

Usually when i go for a gig, the organizer will distribute flyers for the upcoming gig, yesterday i also went to gig in KL, Witching Hour 2010, main act, our own legendary occult/black metal band Nebiras, you can also check our local metal band myspace

Actually only Attila Csihar n not the other members of Mayhem. After Australian tour, the rest go back to Norway, but Atilla came here for vacation n being asked by the organizer to perform old Mayhem songs with our metal musician. Not many crowd that stayed during the show bcoz it is not in the flyers, n he's perform around 12.00am, n indeed, the most memorable gig that i'd attended

hi guys, new to this forum here.  cool.gif

I'm trying to get a KREATOR t-shirt from their gig in KL a couple of years back, and also any SEARCH concert shirts the more vintage the better.

if u have one, or know someplace i can get concert t-shirts pls msg or email me! Many thanks!!
*
i got the hooded sweater where i bought from Jaie of Sil Khannaz back in 2005, before Kreator headed here and i was there on their gig too. I think it's hard to get that shirt unless someone selling it (2nd hand) or there's bootleg by other ppl (Acoustic Music love to do this), it's non album t-shirt but tour t-shirt and this sure put some value to it. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(avantasia @ Nov 23 2010, 11:48 AM)
Acoustic - PERTAMA COMPLEX should have this kind of shirt...
*
I don't think Acoustic music still have the old stock of the t-shirt anymore. tongue.gif

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ Nov 24 2010, 05:15 PM)
why Pantera considered as groove metal? Which part of the songs that are groovy?
*
QUOTE(CargoCult @ Nov 24 2010, 09:58 PM)
We're not talking groove like disco or something that makes you want to dance, haha. It has a certain groove to it. It's not super fast like thrash riffs, not fast and complex like death metal riffs. Slower and heavy.
*
It's the music-wise apart from normal thrash metal genre, it's called groovy thrash metal. The sound of Pantera sure sound like groove when combined from drum, to bass to guitar, but it's different from groovy/techno stuff of course. Maybe you need to listen to Voivod where they're the master of techno thrash metal wink.gif

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ Nov 24 2010, 11:30 PM)
My favourite is Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Exodus and lots of them are American thrash metal band. Recent;y i start digging Pantera and Joe Satriani.

Btwm this is good sites of obscure/underground/hidden gem metal band: http://thenewreview.net/tag/free
*
Great, i've been listening to every metal band across the world.. but my most intention of metal sound would go for European! I enjoy American's tampa death metal, bay area thrash, and others part of the world too! I'm more to old school death metal, teutonic thrash metal, old school black metal and 90's 2nd wave of black metal stuff. smile.gif
