ya, driver cd, vista oem cd and microsoft work (if you didnt order office from them).

anyway for those asking for remote control, it seems that studio xps 16 start shipping with tv tuner here, but you need to addon it yourself with extra rm162

lol.Am I the only one who bought StudioXPS 1340? tongue.gif

The spec is as in the 1st page, except ram is 2Ghz and HDD 320G. Couldn't get Geforce 9500M because by the time i ordered, there was no option for 9500M yet.So the only obvious option is 9400M. Added Microsoft office 2007 to make the price over RM5000, so can can get the RM500 rebate. I think the final price was RM4568. Office paid for it, not me tongue.gif

Out of the box, everything is in order except for some reason, WiFI unable to connect to my office Dlink wireless router. Even it did connect, it will lose signal after a while. Tried so many things, even reinstall OS but still have the same problem. Finally, last night, installed Windows 7 64 bit Beta to see whether it may cause by Windows Vista, and surprisingly from this morning up until i wrote this, WIFI connection is working smoothly without any disconnection. Somehow, i think there is a problem with the device driver for wireless card in Vista. In Vista it shown as = Dell Wireless 1515 Wireless - N Adapter, while in Windows 7 it shown as = Atheros AR5009 802.11a/g/n WiFi Adapter.

1. the top casing
2. the monitor
3.bottom case cover
4.bottom case
5.palm rest
6. speaker
7.batteries

can consider open whole part of it. Like my previous Studio 1537 but is 4 parts and other is system problem.

Do you guy think this unit abit slower ?? the ram look didnt increase much with DDR2..
this unit support window 7 since the motherboard can add until 8gb ram but need RM 2k !!
but ur driver is using ultimate driver.

I'm also asking for the remote control !!
haiz dell hvnt return my RM 200 yet !!
If still hvnt, wanna ask them upgrade TV tuner since my unit probably replace by new unit. and they dont need to send me the cheque again.. Hope they can do this for me!!
TV tunner enable me to play PS 2 game

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, my notebook didn't suffer from any physical defects or scratches.
With 7200rpm hard disk, there's definitely a more responsive feel to it; not sure how much performance does the DDR3 contributes.
There's no remote control and TV Tuner option for Dell Studio XPS 16 if I'm not mistaken.

A Dell Technie came to my house this afternoon to solve my speaker problem... However, Dell sent him the sub-woofer instead of the panel speakers that is having problem... rclxub.gif Problem still persist and need to wait for his call again tomorrow.... cry.gif

By the way, after watching that technie trying to figure out how to takeout parts in the laptop... I am very impressed by how the factory could assembly the whole laptop in just one day.. rclxms.gif thumbup.gif to the factory for the fast assembly and shipment... whistling.gif

Hmm, is Dell trying to rush their production? Shouldn't QC weed out all the problems before they send it to the customers?

Just got my lappy fixed. The techie changed the whole palm rest for me... Speakers sounds much much better than before.... I think its because of the fast delivery that made it lessen the time for QC... Or workers are jz too lazy and cant be bothered about it...

Jz a guessing thou....

you do know that you have 21 days to return the unit and get a full refund, right?
if it's any less than your perfect expectations, then maybe u could just return the unit and look for alternatives.

Any reason why the Studio XPS 16 is cheaper than Studio XPS 13? Don't make sense to me.

Smaller size I guess... That's the only explaination i got so far... But then... Still think my Studio XPS 16 is better compared to the 13 incher... Bigger screen = Nicer movie watching... tongue.gif
