lol.Am I the only one who bought StudioXPS 1340?

The spec is as in the 1st page, except ram is 2Ghz and HDD 320G. Couldn't get Geforce 9500M because by the time i ordered, there was no option for 9500M yet.So the only obvious option is 9400M. Added Microsoft office 2007 to make the price over RM5000, so can can get the RM500 rebate. I think the final price was RM4568. Office paid for it, not me

Out of the box, everything is in order except for some reason, WiFI unable to connect to my office Dlink wireless router. Even it did connect, it will lose signal after a while. Tried so many things, even reinstall OS but still have the same problem. Finally, last night, installed Windows 7 64 bit Beta to see whether it may cause by Windows Vista, and surprisingly from this morning up until i wrote this, WIFI connection is working smoothly without any disconnection. Somehow, i think there is a problem with the device driver for wireless card in Vista. In Vista it shown as = Dell Wireless 1515 Wireless - N Adapter, while in Windows 7 it shown as = Atheros AR5009 802.11a/g/n WiFi Adapter.

It should work. I did it with my studio xps13. I deleted the recovery partition and 1 more hidden partition (forgot the name) and reformat Windows Vista. Just use the reinstallation DVD to reinstall Vista, then after that use the Driver and Utilities DVD to reinstall all the drivers and software for your laptop

My graphic card is 9400M.I think the score might go higher if using 9500M SLI. Will do and post 3dmark test later.

how small is it? I measure it just now. The right shift button is 35mm width, while the left shift button is 42mm

Try this. Click "Start" button > Type msconfig in "search program and files" and press enter > Select "Startup" tab > uncheck ithe bttrat if it is in the list > restart the computer

Try this .Click "Start" button > right click "Computer" > select properties > select "Device Manager" on the left menu > Select DVD/CDROM drives in the list.

I bought it for about RM249 , but that was about 5 months ago. IMO, it is worth. It is cheap considering it is Microsoft product.

I totally agree on these. If money always be the concern, people will not choose laptop as their gaming machine.

My sxps 13 on Mac OSX Operating System. I can have both world (Windows & Mac ) . Installed Windows 7, Windows Vista & OSX Leopard.

Driver incompatability issue is normal when you try to install OSX to "Windows suppose to be laptop"

Working "out of the box":

* gig-ethernet, usb, firewire, sata
* system suspend
* touchpad as mouse
* webcam (video only), video capture verified with photo booth application
* Bluetooth in HID mode (think dumb mouse)

Working with mods below:

* GeForce 9400M G graphics with quartz extreme, external HDMI/VGA/display port
* Built-in speaker, hotkey volume/mute controls
* Intel speedstep
* Touchpad gestures, and working touchpad after resume with modified version of voodoo team's Voodoops2controller
* Battery status & suspend on lid closed
* Bluetooth in HCI mode (full functionality)
* touchpad usability after resume

Not working:

* Built-in digital mic, mic-in jack, mute of speakers when headphones attached
* Dell 1515 802.11 wireless (atheros ar9280 aka ar5009).
* SLI with 9500m video

Wireless 1515, i think dell change to 1510 now, so it will work out of the box.
