can the studio xps 16 be used to play crysis on high settings?

the answer is no. you can only play with medium high setting, posted benchmark here before i think.

between these 2 studio xps 16 is better with newer technology unless you getting xps 1730.

nice price there.. get the 3 year complete cover if you plan to use it for a long time, save the trouble of sudden break down and pay for expensive repair.

If gaming is your top priority then by all means avoid Dell because of two reasons: the original Dell XPS systems passed its golden age, it used to be a great portable gaming system; the Studio XPS on the other hand caters to those who crave a little luxury (backlit keyboard/leather clad screen etc) and professional/home users as well.

There are limited options for you if gaming is on the top of your agenda; might as well get a PC.

From where you get this info from? In other words which application tells you that.

I use Everest engineering Software to tets it.
I even benchmark the memory reading ++

By the way, owners of Dell Studio XPS 16 take note; the IDT driver update on Dell's website will offer a slight upgrade on the sound capabilities of your sound card (though I suspect it's on the software level). SRS Premium Sound capabilities is added to your IDT control panel once you installed the driver.

How to upgrade the audio ? I get the software but can not install it need teh original disc.
But i dont hv the disc. What i hv is the driver disc.

Dell hv one return unit from me.
SXP 16
spect as normal one but with
4gb ram, 3 year complete cover.

If want cheaper can go buy Refurbish XPS M1530.
It's cheap !!!
Can get in less than 2k.

Or any of you know any Dell technician, ask them hv any return unit which are cheap and good spect.

I get a notice that they hv a latitute E 13' series original price 6k but sell out at 4k.
They say better than SXPS 16.

2.) Click "Continue".
3.) Select the folder directory which you want to extract your files to.
4.) Select "OK".
5.) The installer will prompt you whether you want to create the folder (if you haven't already extract the files).
6.) After the extraction, the Dell installer will tell you that the files have successfully extracted.

sadly, there arent many sxps13 users here. if it wasnt for the size, i wud have gotten the sxps 16.

Studio XPS 16 isn't that huge; it's slightly longer than a typical 15.4" notebook but the width is shorter. In some cases even lighter than the 15.4" notebook, depending on the 15.4" notebook. My Dell Inspiron 6400 is one fine example.

ahaha, probably but i already find my 14 inch acer too big and heavy for my liking. i always use an external display so i don need the bigger screen size. sxps was the cheapest compromise between weight and performance and price. lenovo x200 was my top choice but the price and the intel graphics was a turn off. epson(yes, the printer epson company sells notebooks here in japan) has a 13 inch model with 9600M gt! the only other model with tht is lg's p310. wud have gotten it if it werent exp and low memory, low hdd and so on. so in the end, i plunged it for the studio xps 13 smile.gif hopefully it'll come soon!
