my quads at 3.4ghz ... same proccessor and motherboard with huzai T.T" , 425fsbx8= 3.4ghz at 3.12v (shown in cpu-z and bios reading) trying to get to 3.6ghz but so far seems to crash after 2-3 minits of stress test D:, with the following voltage settings

set the ram at 1:1 ratio

CPU Vidd: 1.4v
CPU Vidd Special Limit: Enable
CPU Vidd Special Limit Add: Auto
NB Core : 1.55v
SB Core/CPU PLL: 1.51v
FSB VTT: 1.45v
RAM VDIMM: 2v

GTL Ref Voltage Control : disabled (systems seems too be unstable if i enable this)
CPU GTL 1/2 Ref Volt : 113 (unchangeable since i disable voltage control)
CPU GLT 0/3 Ref Volt : 100 (same here)
North Bridge GTL Ref Volt : 100 (same here)
*
I would suggest you to lower your vtt, since 1.45 is known to kill 45nm's smile.gif

Anyway try this

FSB VTT: 1.30v

GTL Ref Voltage Control : Enable
CPU GTL 1/2 Ref Volt : 93
CPU GLT 0/3 Ref Volt : 90
North Bridge GTL Ref Volt : 72

i'll give it a try

Added on December 30, 2008, 3:55 pmpc hangs at loading screen D:
tried it both with 438fsb and 450 fsb..
im think of hitting a fsb wall here or a bad chip xD

Added on December 30, 2008, 4:33 pmfinally got it too boot at windows biggrin.gif thou i have to disable the GTL REF Voltage Control thingy
these are the current voltages im using right now

set the FSB:RAM ratio to 1:1 (RAM @ 880mhz right now 5-5-5-15 2T Timings)
FSB: 440
Multiplier: 8
CPU Clock: 440 x 8 = 3.52ghz

CPU VID : 1.3v (cpu-z and bios reading shows at 1.328 - 1.344v)
CPU VID Special Limit : Enable
CPU VID Special Add Limit : Auto
NB Core Voltage : 1.6v (D: too high??)
SB Core: 1.51v(default)
RAM VDIMM = 2.0v
FSB VTT: 1.3v

opinions?? is it safe to run 24/7 on this?? temperature reports barely any increases thou (using DFI Smartguardian to check System and chipset temperature)

havent run any stress test yet doh.gif ..

hmm okay .. system crashed anyway after running test for 50 seconds lol -.-".. had to pumped the vidd to 1.325v in bios (reading in cpu-z and bios was 1.36v) and ran the test, the system was quite stable for 20mins but i decided to cancel it since temperatures were too high 66C max.. while at 3.4ghz only 60C was max >.< " o yeah the x48 is a bit harder to OC compare to the p45 boards sigh*

66c @ 1.325v? that's an awesome temperature and vcore bro. Most of us here will only stop if it is exceeding 70c and 1.4v

1.6v on x48 is normal?? so does that apply the same to x38? coz they said x48 is basically cherry picked x38 right?

Yep I had a Maximus Formula that i was running at 1.69Vnb just to get 450FSB haha.
Crazy voltage compared to P45, my old Tpower would do 500FSB on ~1.4 Vnb..

im facing this kind of problem right now,
i've overclocked to 450fsb and adjusting everything back, but i do have the same preset for 440fsb which is stable, run prime, occt, ibt passed
and then, when i reload the 440fsb preset back, all of those program crash, failed, windows reboot, not stable at all

i wonder why.. damn it man!
