by increasing the vcore would not help at all to boot into window. from 1.1xv to 1.3v. after that i search online and ask around, then found that gtl is the key, after tweaking by referring to anandtech guide and try and error, finally can boot into window at 450x8 1.168v
but i guess my psu will not able to handle it since it come out sound like to ask me change psu |

one bad thing about gigabyte mobo is that the gtl setting is not as flexible as other mobo manufacturers.

If I am using a 750i chipset now, and I try to overclock, you think its capable?
I hit 9300 with 2.8GHz >.< I'm a noob. then after that I cannot already dunno why, always refuse to startup, have to rewrite my BIOS and redo again =.= Erm guys, what happen if you simply set the voltage? The voltage for NB and SB, and vCore, what happen if you mess with it, will it damage the hardwares? One more question, My motherboard, MSI P7n SLI PLATINUM, has 8 pin CPU power, but I can only fill in 4 pins, will that affect my performance in overclocking? EDIT: When I increase my Proc's FSB, Do I need to increase the RAM's FSB as well? This post has been edited by sakurakinomoto: Dec 7 2008, 11:29 PM |

QUOTE(sakurakinomoto @ Dec 7 2008, 11:27 PM) If I am using a 750i chipset now, and I try to overclock, you think its capable? bro. u need to read this first. coz from what i see the way u described. u really have no idea what ur doing. if we were to explain to u based on your number of enquiries, i can write another long article of overclocking. And what is vtt?somebody said its fsb voltage...in my asus board i see a FSB Termination(FSBT) voltage, is this it?i mean the vtt=FSBT in asus board? Please, anybody knows? P/S: i never touch quad...in dual core OC i never need to know all this and all seems so damn smooth This post has been edited by RageWeaver: Dec 25 2008, 05:18 AM |

can go to 450fsb actually, but need alot of vcore, i rather keep vcore below 1.3 and vtt below 1.3 lol
btw, about GTL refs, which guide that you follow? or you got your own calculation? lol Clunk's GTL guide for LT-UT X48 were 67% of VTT http://www.clunk.org.uk/forums/hardware/32....html#post12436 And i calculated for GTL 1/2, GTL 0/3, NB GTL myself and i got this formula lol GTL 1/2 = (Real VTT * 67%) / 0.00724 GTL 0/3 = (Real VTT * 67%) / 0.0078 NB GTL = (Real VTT * 67%) / 0.0097 but you have to 'genapkan' those numbers to 3 digits lol dunno my calculation is right or not, pls advice thanks |
