QUOTE(hiroko_jiayi @ Sep 20 2008, 03:10 PM) hm ... is it ok?? but i think it will affect the reputation of seller wor ... not good to do that gua? I also think that posting the back packaging of the original sand would be better to make the customers aware of genuine product. Other then that, those who have purchased the sand, can tell us if there is any side effect?or can you post up the back packaging of original sand? |

@akecema: Nice creativity! Better use the given space than waste it. Very good!
@thirah: Aloe so cute!! Sleeping style awesome la. I use a glass sauce dish (the ones we put soy sauce on). Since it's glass it doesn't topple as easily (although my hams are more concerned about eating the smoothie than decorating their place all over with it. Maybe you can try? Ace hardware sells one for RM 0.70 only. |

QUOTE(sky_haunter @ Sep 21 2008, 09:12 PM) Taming takes time. If he is scared of hands, then use a cup or container to pick him up. Then pour him onto your hands but make sure you are sitting on the floor so that when he jumps off, he would not have a bad fall. This is more like a force technique, of making him learn that your hands do not hurt him.Another way is to handfeed.... this is to build trust, and it takes time. Don't think it can happen overnight or in a few days. Put your hand into the cage or tank, with some seeds or his favourite food in your palm. If he is hungry, he would come and try to eat. If he doesn't then nevermind, just let him get used to the smell of your hand. In time, he would learn that you are not gonna hurt him. If he comes charging to attack you, then I am afraid he has been traumatized by people, and it would take a longer time to build some trust with the hamster. Also, you shouldn't give food through the cage. This would make them try to bite more coz they can't see clearly, can only feed cage bars and food. Use your palm when feeding. |

QUOTE(akecema @ Sep 21 2008, 03:26 PM) you need to do something about this...I suggest putting a few layer of cardboard or whatever it is, so that it doesn't 'sag' like in that pic. Make sure the layers are glued together somehow for it to stay flat. Another method is to use metal bars...like those metal clothes hanger and build a 'scaffolding' for the cardboard to stand properly. Good luck QUOTE(IcedNyior @ Sep 21 2008, 10:03 PM) someone mentioned that the bath sand a LYN seller is selling is fake? The distributor claims that the packaging is different but we have no proof so far.Added on September 21, 2008, 10:27 pmbtw, just want to double check and confirm if its ok for hamsters to eat some of the toilet roll...mine has been biting a lot on it.
