hows the fan? can review a bit? which model?

Cant recall the model. So far the fans is good, quiet and the air flow is way better than panasonic bayu. And the most important thing the design is nice.

if you know DIY, buy the capacitor from Pasar road and fix it. ( google it which capacitor to change )
RM4 + petrol + parking

if you don't want to waste your time, i can recommend you go to the electric repair shop at USJ, i sent the board to him, RM45 only.
PM me if you want to know the address.

Been shopping around for a ceiling fan too.
According to one of the friendly salesman, (ie read at your own risk, disclaimer qualified)

1. Vento- designer brand, made in Taiwan
2. Fanco- Singapore brand made in China
3. Crestar- German technology, made in Taiwan (claims to have an aluminium engine)
4. Amarsco- made in Taiwan.
5. Acorn- made in Taiwan
6. Elmark- china made

According to him, the Taiwanese ceiling fans are considered the best globally.
I'm not too sure how true that is.

When we asked about the trusty KDK, he claims that KDK is strong in industrial fans and ventilators.
Apparently KDK used to manufacture their fans in Malaysia, but have recently shifted to China.

I'm using a fanco in my living room for past 4 years. Some metal parts are rusting a little.
otherwise, it is working well.
See the photo here

We recently booked a Acorn 218 ceiling fan with house-brand LED lights add-on for our bedroom.

I got a problem with 1 of my alpha ceiling fan. whenever i tried to press the speed fan button, i'm not able to get it to startup the fan but pressing the natural button will startup the fan. But if I hold the speed fan button and like walk around the fan a few round and sometimes i will hear the beep sound to startup...Not all the speed button cant work

any idea whether it got to do with the sensor or is the fan already faulty?

ps: i tried to use other alpha's control but still cant work

I have installed several fans. Should the fan base (looks like a cone) be sticking to the ceiling or should there be a 1/2 inch gap to prevent the base from knocking on the false ceiling?

Just bought Alpha CS5 for RM 421 and Apex 1221 RM 279 for 2 units at current Homedec. Good buy?

Now only realise the height of the fan is my concern. Going to get keys to my new hse. About the height can it be adjusted?

You should check your ceiling length before buy ceiling fan. Some brands have design model for low ceiling fan.

5 blades better at same speed because it can push more mass of air downwards.
