i always quit lbp after there is no icons on the lower left of the screen anymore. if i quit it when the system is saving (running sackboy) or communicating with the server (globe icon), the ps3 will restart and have the beep beep thing. quitting it while the system is saving might also contribute to corrupted saves.

the restart part is scary as we wudnt know whether it'll boot after that

for some reason even if the loading things are gone. just sitting in my pod till sackboy sits down. then quit it will still do the beep thing. so strange.

Regarding to the system update, I just bought my PS3 last night and the version is about 2.3 something. Can I straight away update it to the latest version which is 2.6? Or else I do need to update accordingly from 2.5, 2.52....... until 2.6? Someone please help me out T.T

u can straight away update to v2.60 firmware...before that , please download it to PC then tranfer the update to Thumbdrive , make sure ur thumbdrive follow this method : http://ps3explained.com/advanced/folder-structure/

FW link ( website ) > PC HDD > Thumbdrive > PS3.

how to watch photo/music/video from ps3 by using external drive (pen drive)? is there any folder should I create?

ok. first of all the external HDD/pendrive needs to be in FAT32 format otherwise the ps3 doesnt recognise the drive.

then you can just dump all the files on the drive. it will be easier if you create folders on the drive such as:

MUSIC
VIDEOS
PHOTOS

i think those are the file names... but if the vids or what not doesnt come up automatically, press triangle on the USB Drive from the XMB and click display all. and it should show up there.

Anyone has any idea how long is the warranty for DS3 controller? I think mine broke down already...Cannot charge and no response connecting directly to either 2 USB port in PS3 console... Anyone has encounter the same issue? Not sure if its DS3 or USB port problem ...

DS3 probs...cause i already experienced it b4...after bought new DS3 prob solved.
