hm to reset the ps3 to default settings is to press the power button long until u heard a beep right? i move my ps3 from lcd tv to my dell monitor, using hdmi to dvi, but when power on, i can only hear the sound but nothing display on the screen, it says the monitor cannot display this output?

not thick lines but not smooth gradation of color.
for example, u can see banding effect if u set ur pc display to 16 bit instead of 32 bit. |

hmmm no i dont see any of that. you using HDMI? maybe HDMI cable was damaged? bent or something like that?

i have tested with two different hdmi cables, banding still there.
mine is a toshiba x3500 full HD |

Last night while i press quit game after played LBP.. my ps3 restarted itself... is that something wrong with my ps3?

yeah. for some reason everytime i quit LBP it does the beep beep beep. but apparently that sound is for when the PS3 clears the cache. i think.
