Whats the difference between asian set, singapore set and malaysia set?
can anyone more give me more advice and info on this.. thanks =)??
i would like to ask some questions....
1. Does the PS3 80GB able to play PS2 games and all region PS3 games??
2. Is it more worth to buy a second Ps3 60GB version or get a new PS3 80GB version or even 2nd hand 80GB version.. is it wise to buy second consoles..??
3. I have a Samsung T220 widescreen LCD.. and i able to get HDMI display from the ps3 if i use the DVI to HDMI cable??
coz as i know.. ps3 60gb is the best version among all Ps3...
coz of the EE and GS i think rite? and its able to play Ps2 games too
No differences really, Asian/SG/MY PS3s all come from Sony HK anyways

1. No. Sony removed PS2 BC since the 40GB SKU, the new core-80GB SKUs are really pretty much the same as the 40GB SKU with a larger HDD.
2. If you can still find a 60GB PS3 in good condition and for the fact that its going to cost alot, then you may want to go for it. Same goes to a second-hand 80GB.
3. Yes, without problems what so ever.
The PS3 60GB may be the "best" in its features. But technical wise, it isn't.
Its not that simple too for playing PS2 games. Since PS2 games are region-locked, you will need to get the correct system to play your PS2 games and of course they must be original legit copies as well.
Its pretty darn rare to find a US 60GB PS3 for second hand now and selling with a reasonable price point.
Your best bet would be to find the MGS4 80GB Bundle which are still lurking around somewhere in Malaysia if you find hard enough.
