these are region codes. r1-r3 i think. the ps3 can play all regions in regards to games but the downloads from psn such as add on's will remain locked by region. such as if you have an r3 version (asia) of a game you cannot download maps released for the r1 game (usa and such)

r1-r3 ps3 games. blu rays are region locked. dvd's are region locked. and if you got an old version of a ps3. then ps2 games and ps1 games are region locked. only ps3 games are region free.

I used opendns too a while back and keeps getting dc. Nowadays I use streamyx dns and hardly ever get dc from psn on my wired connection.

It's RM95 at my place (Melaka). BTW, I've read somewhere on the net, any Logitech wireless keyboard + mouse should work with PS3. Gonna buy it soon and try it out. smile.gif

99% of Logitech products work with the PS3 belief it or not.

Even some of their ancient driving wheels which uses the PS/2 port works as long as you get a PS/2 > USB converter.

3 beeps consecutively means your display settings has been set back to default settings

OR

Your PS3 is currently still doing something in the background(be it closing the Internet browser, quitting a game completely since some game leaves info on its cache, signing out from PSN and so on).
