So am i to believe that the prices of new games are the same whether they are at Sim lim or funan digital? Coz i thought of going to challenger at funan digital to buy some new pc games like fallout 3 and red alert 3 coz i have pick up a laptop over there and buy some other stuff.

Or are they any stores which can give me a better price for new releases? How are the prices at cyberactive anyway coz near my place has a store?

Btw, i just talked to my landlord and found out that all the kitchen utensils are his, its just his mofo friend which make alot of excuses to put the blame on me. I guess since i was using a bowl and he was trying to use a bowl as well but since there werent any he could find, he just scolded me since it was an incovenice to him. Too bad he didnt check that there was another bowl available at the rack. Unfortunately my landlord is like silly putty aka playdough to the china mofo, everything that he does the landlord is indifferent to it.

Btw, i have a fren who is interested in getting a job in the accounting sector, currently he's working in KPMG malaysia as an auditor but he graduated from shefield harlam under twinning program with TARC college with 2nd degree honour, has about 3 years exp as an auditor and has completed the ACCA course. Would it be unreasonable for him to expect a salary of around 3000-4000 sing?

i mean after u tap ur exlink card and walk pass the control station.. go straight up is raffles city right? turn right is citylink mall rite, where u passby bread talk, guardian, G2000 etc etc.. where can u turn left? the left side is a piece of concrete wall la....

btw, where is the andrew church u are talking about?
*
Friend, please turn left after tapping your ezylink card, walk pass the top up counter and turn left again, I think there is a ATM machine, walk all the way that will lead you to an escalator, coming out of it, St. Andrew Cathedral. That way to Funan Centre ~150-200m away. If not sure, just watch what others walking that way.

Many ppl think Singapore is more advance than Malaysia/KL, but if u go to Hong Kong, u will find Singapore is nothing.. Skyscrapers are everywhere in HK but u can only find it around CBD in SG.

But if u compare KL and SG....then there is nothing can be compare. Even for jeans...singaporeans are wearing original Levi's but Malaysians are wearing pasar malam jeans. Singaporeans are playing their Iphones and PSPs in the MRT but Malaysians are just playing their MP3 in their MP3 players in a crowded sandwiched-packed monorail somemore.

Hi, how were the holidays?

I was so bored alone in Singapore so I walked around the Jurong area on foot. I accidentally stumbled onto a foreign workers depot. Wow, there are many nationalities and the area was quite happening. hmm.gif

Running out of funds, I visited Chinese Garden. Well, I liked that place since it is less crowded and much more peaceful. I tried going to the malls but it was so packed. Being alone, it is hard to me to get a seat while I was buying food. sad.gif

That's because Sg has a height limit for buildings depending on area and usage. And the higher it is, the more you have convince the authorities that the architecture is 'iconic'.

Btw, what's the point you're trying to get across?

hi all, would like some advise here regarding applying for PR. I have been working in Singapore for 3 months plus now and I have my 3 months pay slip already. I am wondering if this is sufficient to apply for Singapore PR, bcoz it was stated that u need 6 months pay slip. But when i used the eligibility tool at the ICA website, I got a green result. So is it advisable to apply now?

Go to forums.gameaxis.com. This is a pretty active gaming forum, with lots of local discussions on new releases, favourite shops etc.

Depends on the rank he's at, leaving KPMG. If he's still a junior after 3 years, then probably nothing more than 3000-3500. Leaving as a newly promoted senior (<1 year), 3500-4000. Leaving as an experienced senior (>1 year ie. promoted after 1-2 years as junior), 4000-4500 as clearly high performer. If leaving as a freshly promoted Asst Mgr, ask for 5000-7000 as he's obviously a high flyer (partner material).

Just apply lah and see what happens. Worst come to worst, you get rejected and just reapply in a few months.

hi everyone, it's first time i notice so many malaysian working in sinapore. well, i have a plan to work in singapore too but i dont have much confidence in competing with singaporeans since that i heard a lot blah blah working experiences from my friends. so i wish if anyone could kind enough to give a little advices to me, just any advices, i would appreciate that. smile.gif

well, i'm a fresh ICT degree graduate and had a 5 months internship in a MNC in malaysia, currently unemployed. i wonder would it be a wiser choice to work in KL as i have no working experiences, or i should go and try to get a job in singapore, as singaporean employers would not even bother to look at ICT fresh grads from malaysia.

umm, i appreciate any comments. thanks! smile.gif

Yea, I have to admit that I miss the Roti Canai and Teh Tarik drool.gif . I could also hardly find Mamaks whereas there are only stalls selling Indian Muslim food.

Anyways, you can contact me if you are bored. I came to Singapore to work not knowing anyone here. sweat.gif
