Many ppl think Singapore is more advance than Malaysia/KL, but if u go to Hong Kong, u will find Singapore is nothing.. Skyscrapers are everywhere in HK but u can only find it around CBD in SG.
But if u compare KL and SG....then there is nothing can be compare. Even for jeans...singaporeans are wearing original Levi's but Malaysians are wearing pasar malam jeans. Singaporeans are playing their Iphones and PSPs in the MRT but Malaysians are just playing their MP3 in their MP3 players in a crowded sandwiched-packed monorail somemore. QUOTE(vincentmoo @ Nov 26 2008, 05:11 PM) Don't know whether is suitable to post here. I have 2 grassland bus ticket to go back ipoh on 22nd Jan 2009 10.20pm departure from golden mile. Anyone interested pls call 91463799(singapore) selling at $110 each Wah why so expensive? $110 for 1 ticket 1 way? normal price is only $27 for normal express bus or $47 for high class bus. Are you buying at $47 to resell it at $110? Maybe you can scan and post the receipt here bcos my gf who is from Ipoh is interested to buy but only the price is freaking expensive.BTW, maybe you can sell it Garage Sales as mods won't allow any selling being conducted over here in this thread. Kthxbye, This post has been edited by MPIK: Nov 27 2008, 12:01 AM |

If you wanna buy computer stuffs, don't buy at singapore, go back to KL and buy at lowyat instead (for those who are from KL)... it is about 25% more cheaper after conversion.

QUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Dec 14 2008, 03:16 PM) it depends on what stuff you wanna buy lah. For this it is cheap oso, but maybe not 25%, perhaps it's around RM320 if not mistaken. Bcos last month, I just bought all hardwares from MY and assemble it in SG. Total cost is RM3566 but if the same rig same specs, it is around $1,700++ and bcos in Sim Lim I heard alot of tipu case as well, means non-ori parts.Leadtek 9600GT SGD141 (*2.38 = RM336), can you find cheaper than this in KL? please don't jump into conclusion so fast. |

As I have mentioned earlier, it is only worth to work in SG if you are offering a pay of at least $3,500 and above.
Otherwise, it totally worthless and pointless in my opinion especially you need to leave your families, love ones, gf/bf, wife/husband etc etc. There are many more things that you need to sacrifice as well. Hence, by earning only $3.5K and above can compensate for all your losses... This post has been edited by MPIK: Dec 20 2008, 12:46 AM |

QUOTE(wu ming @ Feb 3 2009, 09:18 AM) I was thinking whether are there any flexible part-time job such as waiters. I have some experience working as a waiter. Just would like to pass some time at night as I have nothing much to do. Got such thing wan meh? If can, I oso wanna apply for PR but do not want to contribute for CPF.Talked to some Malaysian over here regarding PR. Applying for PR is the "it" thing and is more like a trend. It's just like having a new cellphone where everybody would like to follow trend. |

Hi I wanna to ask about insurance.
Do you all buy any life insurance in spore? AFAIK, if you work in spore, you need to buy spore life insurance bcos if you buy msia insurance, they will not pay anything if anything happen to you unless you return to msia every 45 days. But if u buy spore life insurance, it is more expensive compare dollar to dollar for the same sum insured. or u guys din buy insurance at all while working overseas??? |

QUOTE(EddyHyip @ Feb 20 2009, 04:47 PM) Huah.... lotsa info here for me!! AFAIK, starting salary for engineering is a bit lower in SG than in MY, SG usually pays only $2,300 and above whereas MY pays RM2,600 and above.. I'm also graduating soon (not very soon but in 4 months time) and am planning to work in singapore.... From what I researched, demand for engineer in singapore should not be too badly affected by the economic slowdown. I still feel the chances to land a job there.... Toh toh chi kao.... but u may try... no harm trying.. many ppl is jobless here. |
