hey guys,
i am working in a VOIP company in Singapore. i am looking for a group of people who is interested to become our focus group. Our service is different from Skype or normal calling card. essentially, we will give you an adaptor to connect to you broadband. Once connected, you can start to call from the landphone. In addition to that, we are giving a free mobile call back together with this trial.
What you will get:
You get to try out our service for free for 3 months.
in short: It will means you get to call home for free la. Thru both homeline or mobile line ( Free call back)
What we get: Your testimonial and feedback on the service. Most important is that if your testimonial is chosen to become our marketing material, we will give you the additional perks.
What makes you qualify :
a. You have a broadband at home ( singapore la, mobile broadband cannot) b. You have a phone at home. C. You call overseas frequently : ie: to Malaysia , US, Canada, hong Kong, china or other countries listed in our website.
alternatively,
if you have family in malaysia who has a broadband, you can install this service at home. Then they call u in singapore will be unlimited, and you can call to their number ( yes, you will get a new landline number starts with 3156XXX) It;s a Singapore Local Line.
If you are interested, please contact me etang@italkbb.com or if you have friends who you think might be interested, please ask them to contact me too.

PLus current market like this, you cant get any better than this. which company btw? hi chess_gal when they offer $2.7k, i thought it's standard salary point for engineer with 1~2years of experience. But then when I ask some of my singapore friends with the same level of experience, their salary are $3K - $3.5K..... That's why i would like to know whether i should accept their offer or not... Their salary package has NO other allowance. But if travel offshore, got $60 per day allowance. In-land travel, for example to JB, is $30 per day. Meal and accommodation is covered if travel. OT is around $40/hour or 1.5% of the salary. Maximum capped at 30hours per month.

It's always funny how your friends' companies always pay more but never have any vacancies when you ask. Anyway, no harm taking the 2.7K offer, come to Sg, get your PR, and then if you find out you're really underpaid... go get yourself another job here. Just make sure you don't sign a bond or something.

Don't compare with those grad with local University (NUS /NTU) or those come back from Oversea. For a fresh grad / a young engineer with a few year of experience, the starting salary is definitely lower compared to a local Singaporean. Unless you are Ang Moh with many Years of experience. There is quota on how many Foreigner a company can employ for every local citizen employee they have. Male Singaporean might have some NS allowance. And those company will pay higher for those who grad from NUS/NTU compare to those grad from Malaysia local Uni. The reason ppl employ foreign worker is... Cheaper.. if you are not cheaper, why should they get you instead of those local citizen? This post has been edited by hkhk: May 13 2009, 11:24 AM

That's 45% or almost half your basic. And if you add it all up, your overall pay per month is $3900. That's more than your Sg friends already.
