It's quite natural, isn't it? Malaysians (guys and girls) come here typically penniless looking for work and good income. Singaporean guys are the ones with daddy's car, automatic HDB grant and backyard advantage. How can the penniless Malaysian chaps compete?

Why compare singaporean guy with msian? i feel that we are all the same 'yellow skin' guy, meanwhile i feel that msian guy have even more advantage in some way. we do not need to join NS at least, that saved us at least 2 years. we came all the way to spore to work, that made us more independent, reliable and trustworthy smile.gif slogan kata, malaysian boleh!(sometimes its still true, althou most of the time even myself will make fun of it)

If your major income is from salary, then there is not much difference from tax point of view :-)

If you were a girl, which would you choose? Nerd driving a nice car or macho dude driving the back seat of a SBStransit bus?

I gather that most of the male contributors in this thread are young men with little in their pockets and just starting out in their careers in Singapore.

Hence, you are out of the date game with Singaporean women.

My two cents' advice from an old bloke like me - concentrate on moving up the career ladder and the women can come into the picture later. Right now, all the chips are stacked against you in the dating game.

One question,

if u love singapore, why not? after getting PR then u can enjoy CPF, HDB Flat, and higher chance to get a job biggrin.gif.

why not? not everyone in singapore is rich and there are rich malaysian guys that work in singapore also. as some member mentioned some singapore guys can be quite nerdy. btw my dad is a malaysian and my mom is a singaporean biggrin.gif she follow my dad to ipoh after marriage.

but reality telling us that... u need a lot of $$ bullets to tackle singapore girl. i met a lot of girls that demand for a lot of things even for themselve and they complain why they don't have bf. oh well, different culture.
