The fins could be bent a bit to fit through the cable loh ...

@Volt
Just sleeve it and fix neatly with cable tie and zip base ..

U need to on the light to let us see. see is there any corners to route the cable. What i can see at the pic is,
-u need to place ur ccfl tubes nicely.
-hide the IDE cables inside the 5.25 bays.

If i were u, i would remove all the cables and route them 1 by 1.

Pretty headach with cables... Just got my Sagitta (hei, my FIRST gaming case anyway...). And the case itself got hell lot's of plugs for LEDs, Fans... O_O"

Spend a few days figure out a plan to make them looks nice. I route those molex to behind (extend them if too short, all too short...). Also made a piece of cover for the buttom of the case (internal) to cover up some messy cables underneath it (urgh, will cut out a dragon florescent sticker and put on the cover...)

You can makes holes in your casing for fans, or you can get those casings that are premade with a few fans holes. Like the CM690.

can be bought at hardware stores like ace hardware....but i dont recommend using this...coz u need to buy by size. i recommend using cable tie base..

like this (the black color thing)

user posted image user posted image

at least with this.. u can use big cables or small cables doesnt matter... this also can get at hardware stores

this is not a spiral tube...looks more like a U-channel to me. this is used to cover up sharp edges in a casing. here cannot buy tongue.gif

@wen9x88,
It is suggested that don't make the SATA cable in spiral shape, let it go straight instead. No need to use those cable management clips, remove 'em & hide the cables behind mobo tray.

@ hypermax.

Your setup is off-tha-hook bro.
Seriously bad-ass.

Do you have the fans mounted on the Accelero coolers, or is it too tight for a CF setup?

I plan to do it the same way with my NVidia setup.

You can try the Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer. You'll be better off asking this in the Hardware Questions section though.

usually end up not posting at all and the "reserved" post ends up being junk and useless doh.gif not only here...but other sections as well....

seriously.... if u wanna post pictures, dont post just to tell us ur gonna post the pictures later... only post when u actually have pictures to post.

Yes, I like it so much but cable management is worst than before after changing to Xigmatek 750W cos the 4+4pins connector cable is too short.
Will try to get an extension for this cable asap. Dun wan the worms stay in my casing biggrin.gif

Cooler Master Centurion 5 - This case isn't really the best for cable management, as there is no way to get the cable from the 5" bays down to the GC's or HDD without having to go back out exposed.

Cable management can be better, but I'll be switching the PSU in a few days so I didn't spend too much time getting it solid.

Yeah? Better layout for cable management? I'll have to take a look, but I believe the last time I checked, the CM690 was quite a bit more expensive than the CM5. It's also a lot better for airflow/cooling vs CM5 - but I just bought this case a month ago, so...dunno what to do. =/

Do anything that can hide the cables as possible as u can. The cable connecting the side fan is the most annoying. I would just remove it from destroying my eyesight. The purple light can be placed 1 vertically while another one horizontally at the bottom. Tide up the green cables inside the HDD/DVDROM bay

r u saying those who sleeve their psu can ignore cable management? then what happen to the air flow? cable management purpose is to improve ventilation inside the casing, if u sleeve psu doesn't mean u improve ventilation ler.. still need cable management.

I think you need to upgrade your case, your rear cooling fan is smaller than your CPU fan - impossible to discharge all the hot air...case will get very hot.

Use more ties to bundle the cables together.

waah, looks a bit messy there, but i guess its only seen when u open the sidepanel rite?the viewable part when close the panel just the mobo, so u can just concentrate on that part. Bro, better if u can sleeve all the cables for ur extra fans and front panel, will looks much better i think.

Those cables coming from the top of your case, stuff them above your cd drive.
Sata cables from your mobo, pull them straight to the right.
Unused wires from psu, stuff them through the same hole that you're using to route your 24 pin cable.
Your rear fan wire can go thru the space between the gc and the mobo.

No need to change the dvdrom. Get a rounded IDE cable instead.

Quite noisy due to high airflow when it's running at full voltage. As for temp performance I can say it's just as good as the Xigmatek fan.
My stock Xigmatek fan is partially faulty that's y for time being replace it with AC Ryan.

@HSLimMic, ur new cable management is now 10x better than before.
Still can do better. Buy a 24pins extension cable route it behind mobo tray.
The colorful casing cable for on/off, reset blabla cable can be hidden too. Route it outside under mobo tray & let it go through the hole to ur mobo. Ace still got some works to do then.
Added: the cpu cooler fan, rotate it so that the wires are not visible.

@nidzamputra, perfect!

i know bro,but i dont wish to use an extension for it cause it not as good as direct connect.
as this pc is in not ideal voltage reading.
after 4870 and Q9450 fitted in,12v rail in 11.7v only.
that's why no choice but have to use direct connect.
i will revamp it again once he got new psu brows.gif

CM590 also can fit radiator inside. I'm guessing CM690 should be able to also.

yeah, flat black is the best color to be painted for internal case.
moreover u want to build a Uv interior, flat black is the best at it wont reflect ur light as it can kill the uv effects inside ur rig...

Ace, saw u're using a 24pins extension cable. Is there any issues in terms of efficiency as compared to the stock cable?
Btw, jz let the sata cables go straight, nicer look. biggrin.gif

bro,i just got them from supermarket,but one can cost me rm12.90,which is quite good quality compared to normal one.
u have to get a good quality lecquer to prevent scratches when open and close ur side panel.

i sleeve all of them in one shot,look more tidy.
btw,i no like twisting the sata cable,but since it's so close,it's not enough length for me to straighten it,so in the end i chosen to twist it.
btw,i'm not using any extension for the 24pin,it's direct connect,the Liberty cable is too short,but this eternity type cable from NoiseTaker 600W is very long and it can go whereever i want biggrin.gif
so i just connect it directly from the back.

@aBc!!
it looks nicer than u twist it sweat.gif

eerr....not just ace la.....actually lacquer IS the proper term for it...

clear spray is actually more of a street slang kinda thing
*
last time i went to hardware store to buy lacquer, i ask "Lao Pan, i want a can of lacquer". he just blink.gif doh.gif
then i said clear spray la... blush.gif maybe bcoz i the hardware store located at kampung, so normal people always use term clear spray... blush.gif

clean the casing, let if to be dried of for a day.
then spray the 1st thin layer, let it dried (around 30minutes).
and repeat the step for 2nd and 3rd layer....

and after that, let the paint dried for few days to make sure its really hardened before u put back ur hardwares inside.
the paint will continue to hardened untill a few weeks, maybe months.

some people will just eagerly put their hardwares inside b4 the paint really hardened, this for sure will peel the paint off. i put a side my casing for a week b4 i install all the hardwares inside. a bit busy actually, no time to play2 with my pc...tongue.gif

actually the important step is how u clean ur casing. i wash my casing with soap and brush.let it completely dried...

Cannot hide the exposed cables anymore due to LianLi case design.
Try to sleeve the cables into one to make it look nicer.

If you're talking about the cables out from the PSU, thats very difficult or impossible because the non-modular PSU had so many long cables i had to re-route the cables separately.

Length will be a resistant for data transfer. It is not recommended.
For me 20cm is more than enuf as the distance between mobo sata ports to ur sata devices is not that long. nod.gif

its depend bro how the distance with ur hdd and ur sata port..coz im using TJ07 modded to BTX style..so the hdd will be at bottom part and sata port will be at top of casing..then the solution i use long sata cable coz easy for me to route it properly..doesnt hv pro like didnt reach the port or hdd even anyware i can route it icon_rolleyes.gif erm bout the resistance of date i think i didnt hv any prob of it..coz afaik these long cable normally use in server system nod.gif so for me it suite my need wub.gif

have u seen our cases??? like mfcm's case, my A10 is BTX'ed....so its really far between port and HDD.....

as for the resistance thing....ive used both short and long cables.... from 10cm to the ones that come with the mobo to 1 meter long.....

no difference wink.gif

every type of cable has their limits when it comes to length....guess 1 meter is still within a sata cable's limit...

dats wat i can did wit 1meter sata cable tongue.gif sorry forgot where i put back pic of mobo tray doh.gif
yeah 5hdds load plus 1 dvd writer but since the optical drive at top n near the sata port then i jus use normal sata cable..so in total 6 sata cables being use..
frankly if u use 75cm sata cable mite be enuf but yeah need to c how the cable u gonna hide or manage..coz it u slide n hide here n there route to sata port then mite be not long enuf..but if directly from hdd straight up to sata port w/o hide anywhere i think can use 75cm..i jus take precaution for 1meter sata cable icon_rolleyes.gif

every type of cable has their limits when it comes to length....guess 1 meter is still within a sata cable's limit...

I think it's the same ,bottom psu and top, depends on the casing design, nice

casing u can just simply hide the cables behind mobo.

What is that thingy u put at the bottom fan, kinda like a stand for the fan. I think this can lower fan noise in my casing.

I don't think additional stand can lower fan noise because you just added extra pieces of item to 'shake' around. Unless you also add some covering metarial like foam. I think foam will be the best material around, which I plan to cover it around my HDD, since my HDD make pretty much of 'deep' sounds...

yup,i agree with u.
me too dont think that additional stand can lower the noise.
unless,its up to ur creativity to add some sort of foam,to absorb the sound.
i believe foam is the material available to absorb sound.
correct me if im wrong.

yup, But careful not to place foam anywhere, it may obstruct with your cooling! For example if we want to cover our HDD, only cover the side that it contact with the rack, don't cover the top and buttom... Cuz if you cover them, the air won't able to flow through them...

there also people leave the foam at the back of the mobo (which come in the box probably) attached while they screw the mobo on the back tray. This is real danger cuz the heat won't able to dispatch from the back. Also, due to the heat, probably the foam will even melt or burn!

I mean, I'm using delta fan at the lower part. I tried lifting a few cm from the bottom, the sound noise greatly decrease since rite now the fan is sitting down (no screws) making a whooshing sound. Tho I'm thinking of cutting away the mesh at the bottom hmm.gif

that is actually just normal long screw which i use to level up my sanyo denki fan... if i put my fan at the bottom (without the screw) there will be minimum airflow so i decided to kinda put it up higher to get maximum airflow...

btw, the noise is madness but the airflow is around 110cfm brows.gif

@creep

tie all those cables in a big bundle and put it somewhere near the cd-rom bay area. you can also place the cable behind the motherbard, i mean near the right side panel.

the shortest route of cable to your componenet is never the best routing method because it will make the cable "crawl" acros your motherboard...thus looks messy. try to route it nicely as if you were making a road. this method requires you to have sufficient cable length.

Hi, can anyone advise me on how to route the cables at the back? I mean like, I've 6 fans inside my CM690, and the molex always "kacau" when I try to close the door at the back...

Or any sifu can show some picture of their rig's other side? The back where all the wire are hidden.

@creep

tie all those cables in a big bundle and put it somewhere near the cd-rom bay area. you can also place the cable behind the motherbard, i mean near the right side panel.

the shortest route of cable to your componenet is never the best routing method because it will make the cable "crawl" acros your motherboard...thus looks messy. try to route it nicely as if you were making a road. this method requires you to have sufficient cable length.

actually i'm looking for that thing u all used to tie the cable.....who's selling it ?...tried searching at All IT they only got that yellow cable where they used in supermarket to tie the plastic bag.....

Hi, going to post my first cable management! Did a few on my previous rigs, but.. I would say those are really crap lol. After looking at a lot of pictures, I finally had an idea how a decent cable management should be like. This is the first time ever I've spend so much time on cable management, so go easy on me blush.gif

SATA cable to the DVD is just too short, can't route it to the back. Might buy a longer one so that I could hide it from the back later on.

Warning : Home of cacing ahead

uglyvamp didn't reply me and I could tahan, so I cut those 3pin and combined them into one molex. (4 on each molex). Still very messy... but was way better than before. Another problem I'm facing is, this Huntkey PSU has VERY long wiring... So hard to hide them dry.gif.
