I'm using D98,
and these 3 days my download rate average is 10-20kB/s

am I being capped or there's something wrong?

I thought the speed will reduce to around 40-60kB/s only.

just want to clarify b4 I call celcom cs.

it depend on ur area and time
if it's HSDPA and it's daytime, can reach 160kbps but not static at that speed
at nite, the speed kinda bad, really really not stable

how much have u download this month?
are u a new celcom user?
theoretically, if u got capped, the max speed that u can get 128 kbps
try to do a speed test or download anything
and see the max speed that u can get
if it's always 128 kbps, yerp u being capped
don't bother to call CS
they know nothing about the capping thingy cry.gif

rs premium speeed

d68 - 385kbps
100mb 40 minute

d98 - 2.1mbps
100mb 10 minute

sometime celcom system will block rapidshare.com for hour or two.

Use DiGi EDGE, but only available on selected areas. For other areas out of EDGE coverage, the connection will automatically switch to GPRS

i'm using D98...
recently i can't even connect using hsdpa/umts..
if connect using gprs/edge, the speed is terrible till i can't even go google..

is this a symptom i was being capped?
i didn't receive any notice from celcom..

If you are being capped, it will still show HSDPA/UMTS just that the speed is below 128kbps for D98 and 64kbps for D68.

Well, don't expect notice from them if your speed is capped, I got capped twice and no notice was given.

Thanks sis fruitie...
well i think its just the connection disrupted this few days..
now as i was posting this, the speed regains fast as ever again..
but i'm still gradually losing faith in celcom oredy.
if not under the contract, i wil juz terminate it..

you mean Kuching? No sure, but there is one wireless broadband available quite sometime ago. Company name is Dawana (office at Satok), but customer service worst than Celcom!!!

Oh. BTW, my area finally have back HSDPA connection (just few minutes ago), but my download speed still sucks!

Download Speed : 75kbps (9.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed : 88 kbps (11 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency : 313

Hmm... well switch off my connection and see any improvement or not.
